    Abstract: A trash can assembly has a lid pivotably coupled to an upper end of an outer shell, and a pivoting pedal bar that is coupled to the lid via a link rod. The closing motion of the lid is dampened by counter-balancing the closing force of the lid, which can be accomplished by generating a counter-balance force against the pedal bar that is equal to or slightly less than the closing force of the lid. The counter-balance force can be made to vary during the closing motion of the lid. In addition, the entire link rod can be positioned inside the interior of the outer shell, and the pivot axis of the lid about the outer shell can also also positioned inside the interior of the outer shell.

    Abstract: A method and a structure for a converging-type electron-emission source of a field-emission display are disclosed. A substrate is provided, and a silver paste is used to form a first electrode layer on the substrate by the process such as thick-film photolithography screen-printing. At least one pit is formed in the first electrode layer by etching, for example. A passivation layer is formed on the first electrode layer around the pit. A second electrode layer is formed in the recess by photolithography or electrophoresis, for example. Preferably, the second electrode layer is formed with a top surface lower than a periphery of the pit, such that a converging opening of the second electrode layer is formed over the second electrode layer. The passivation layer is then removed, followed by a step of sintering process.

    Abstract: A method of fabricating the parallel leading wire in a focusing mesh of field emission display and a structure thereof is provided. A cathode leading wire is formed along one edge of a cathode plate in a field emission display. When the metal mesh is formed on the cathode plate, one edge of the mesh becomes a leading wire parallel to another edge thereof. The leading wire has a designated length and a thickness thinner than the metal mesh. Without applying external force, the parallel leading wire is drooped and contacted the cathode plate because of itself weight. Be way of sintering, parallel leading wire is connected to cathode leading wire and enveloped by the metal mesh within the cathode plate.
