Abstract:
A communication method comprises: broadcasting, from a communication apparatus to a user terminal, system information for Device to Device (D2D) proximity service, by use of a frequency of a serving cell of the user terminal, the communication apparatus managing the serving cell. The system information includes first information and second information. The first information indicates an available frequency for a discovery procedure in which the user terminal discovers another user terminal. The second information indicates at least one parameter for calculating transmission power for the discovery procedure. The available frequency for the discovery procedure is a frequency different from the frequency of the serving cell. The first information is related to a center frequency of a frequency band of the available frequency for the discovery procedure.
Abstract:
A communication control method comprises: receiving, by a user terminal, from a base station, first information indicating a Device to Device (D2D) frequency available in a D2D discovery procedure for discovering a proximal terminal; and using, by the user terminal, not only the frequency indicated by the first information, but also a frequency not indicated by the first information. The frequency not indicated by the first information is different from the frequency indicated by the first information and is indicated by second information received from another cell different from a cell in which the user terminal exists.
Abstract:
A UE 100-1 and a UE 200-2 perform D2D communication that is direct device to device communication. The UE 100-1 transmits a D2D termination preliminary notification indicating that termination of the D2D communication is wished to the UE 100-2 during the D2D communication. The UE 100-1 terminates the D2D communication after transmitting the D2D termination preliminary notification.
Abstract:
A controller performs a mediation of an assigned radio resource such that the radio resource assigned to each of a plurality of other user terminals does not overlap each other, in a case where a transmission of user data is not performed among each of the plurality of other user terminals through D2D communication, and in a case where each of the plurality of other user terminals assigns the radio resource for transmitting the user data through the D2D communication.
Abstract:
A communication control method according to a first aspect is used in a cellular communication system including a user terminal operating in either one of states, a connected state or an idle state. The communication control method comprises a step of performing, by UE 100, a random access procedure for a cell, in the idle state. The step of performing the random access procedure includes the steps of: transmitting, by the UE 100, a small amount of data to the cell; and ending, by the UE 100, the random access procedure without transitioning to the connected state, after transmitting the small amount of data.
Abstract:
A communication control method according to the present invention is a method for allowing a cellular communication system to cooperate with a wireless LAN system. The communication control method comprises: a detecting step of detecting, by a user terminal having a cellular communication unit and a wireless LAN communication unit, that the user terminal is present near a small-cell base station; a recognizing step of recognizing, by the user terminal, that the small-cell base station is of a collocated type where the small-cell base station is disposed at a same location as a wireless LAN access point; and a scanning starting step of starting, by the user terminal, scanning for discovery of the wireless LAN access point, when the user terminal has recognized that the small-cell base station is of the collocated type and has not discovered the wireless LAN access point.
Abstract:
A communication control method is a method for performing offload to transfer a traffic load of a cellular base station to an access point. The communication control method comprises a step of maintaining without releasing the first connection, by a user terminal that have established a first connection with the cellular base station, even when the offload is started after establishing a second connection with the access point; and a determining step of determining, by the user terminal, whether the offload is continued or canceled after the offload is started.
Abstract:
A communication control method according to a first aspect is a method for performing offloading to switch traffic to be transmitted and received between a user terminal and a cellular base station to a wireless LAN system. The communication control method comprises: a step A in which the user terminal transmits a wireless LAN terminal identifier being an identifier of the user terminal in the wireless LAN system, to the cellular base station; and a step B in which the cellular base station, before performing the offloading, transmits the wireless LAN terminal identifier received from the user terminal to an access point of the wireless LAN system. The wireless LAN terminal identifier is used for wireless authentication of the user terminal at the access point.
Abstract:
A base station according to a first aspect controls a cell. The base station comprises: a transmitter configured to transmit a radio signal; a controller configured to perform discontinuous transmission in which the transmitter is discontinuously activated; and a receiver configured to receive a request for communication from a user terminal in the cell. The controller temporarily changes an activation pattern of the transmitter in response to the reception of the request for communication when performing the discontinuous transmission, and notifies the user terminal of pattern information indicating a changed activation pattern.
