Abstract:
In order to facilitate specifying a person executing illegal image formation, the invention provides an image processing apparatus connected with an information communication apparatus, comprising first input means for entering information on the addressee of fee billing from the information communication apparatus, second input means for entering an image, addition means for adding the information on the addressee of fee billing to the image in a manner not easily recognizable to the human eyes, and output means for outputting thus added image.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus includes: an operation receiver, an image processor configured to perform image processing to add a digital watermark containing address information of the image processing apparatus to a first image to thereby generate a second image; a communication controller configured to receive a taking-out request to take out the digital watermark contained in the second image from an information processing device; and a storage controller configured to store a log in a storage unit. When receiving the taking-out request, the image processor performs image processing to take out the digital watermark contained in the second image to thereby generate the first image. The communication controller transmits the first image generated by the image processor to the information processing device. The storage controller stores, in the storage unit, the log containing identification information identifying the user of the information processing device from which the taking-out request is transmitted.
Abstract:
A document administration system includes an administration unit, a discrimination information image discriminating unit, and an image forming apparatus which, forms an image on a recording medium in case that the discrimination information image discriminating unit discriminates that the recording medium has the discrimination information image before the image is formed on the recording medium, and forms the image and the discrimination information image based on the discrimination information connected to the image on the recording medium in case that the discrimination information image discriminating unit discriminates that the recording medium does not have the discrimination information image before the image is formed on the recording medium.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, a document administration system includes an administration unit to administer administration information of an image formed on a recording medium in connection with discrimination information of the recording medium and a decoloring device. The decoloring device includes a reading unit to read a discrimination information image based on the discrimination information, the discrimination information image being formed on the recording medium with erasable coloring agent, a decoloring unit to decolor the image formed on the recording medium with erasable coloring agent after the reading unit has read the discrimination information image, and a printer to print the discrimination information image in which at least the number of times of decoloring has been updated based on the discrimination information image read by the reading unit on the recording medium after decoloring.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for tracking a slide comprising a tissue sample. In an embodiment, data is received from a Laboratory Information System (LIS) barcode associated with a slide and a proprietary barcode generated by a slide staining system, such as a Ventana slide staining system, to track the slide through the staining process. A new label is printed that contains both the LIS barcode and the proprietary barcode, and is attached to the slide. When the slide is subsequently scanned by a slide scanning system, the slide scanning system reads and decodes the LIS barcode to obtain a LIS barcode value. The LIS barcode value may then be used to retrieve information associated with the slide.
Abstract:
A transmission device including: copy unit that extracts part or all of partial contents, as tracking information, from a content, and copies the extracted tracking information, thereby generating pieces of tracking information; candidate information obtaining unit that obtains pieces of candidate information respectively corresponding to the pieces of tracking information; evidence information obtaining unit that obtains evidence information generated dependently on a piece of candidate information selected by the reception device from among the pieces of candidate information; hash generating unit that generates hash values respectively in accordance with the pieces of candidate information; embed unit that embeds the hash values respectively into the pieces of tracking information, and embeds the evidence information into each piece of tracking information; and transmit unit that transmits each piece of tracking information in which a hash value and the evidence information have been embedded.
Abstract:
Conventionally, during a copy operation, certain advanced mode settings make the extraction of additional security information impossible. In order to solve this problem, the print control apparatus includes: determining unit for determining an interval between a pattern element and a pattern element adjacent to the pattern element from the received image data; and control unit for performing a control so as to scale the image at a magnification specified by a user and have the scaled image printed by a printing apparatus when the product of the magnification specified by the user and the interval determined by the determining unit falls within a predetermined range, and configured to terminate or interrupt the printing of the image by the printing apparatus when the product of the magnification specified by the user and the interval determined by the determining unit does not fall within the predetermined range.
Abstract:
A system (10) for generating an incrementally completed 2D security mark (20′″) includes a computer-readable medium encoded with a computer program. The computer program has computer readable code for selecting a symbology for the 2D security mark (20′″), computer readable code for selecting a scrambling technique for data to be placed into a carrier object (20, 20′, 20″, 20′″) of the 2D security mark (20′″) at each stage in the workflow, and computer readable code for selecting a manner in which a state change of the carrier object (20, 20′, 20″, 20′″) at each stage in the workflow results in a predictable change in the 2D security mark (20′″). The system the system further includes memory and a processor operatively coupled to the memory and to the computer-readable medium.
Abstract:
A method for enhancing security printing of a layout template is disclosed. The method includes receiving the layout template, and acknowledging one or more constraints for the layout template. At least one unconstrained layout element of the layout template is varied, thereby generating a varied layout template. The varied layout template is printed and scanned. The method further includes determining a number of bits that can be encoded in the varied layout template, where the number of bits depends on the varying of the at least one unconstrained layout element.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and system for embedding in a digital media file user fingerprint which the user cannot detect when using the digital media file. In the method, a user-detectable watermark is first embedded in the digital media file. This watermark can be transformed in a client device to a non-detectable fingerprint of the user by utilizing digital media file-specific information issued by a digital media rights owner when the user has bought a user license. Afterwards the digital media rights owner can read the embedded user fingerprint from the digital media file if it is illegally distributed between other users.
