    Abstract: An LED light bulb in the shape of an incandescent light bulb having an engagement end that is insertable into a light fixture socket; a diffuser provided at a second opposed end of the LED light bulb and a heat sink that extends from the engagement end to the diffuser. The heat sink comprises a plurality of fins extending in the axial direction, the fins forming an exterior surface of the LED lightbulb, the heat sink having an axial inner end located at the engagement end and an axial outer end located at an axial inner end of the diffuser.

    Abstract: A surface cleaning apparatus comprises a base, a portable cleaning unit removably mounted to the base and comprising at least one air treatment member, a portable cleaning unit energy storage member and a portable cleaning unit suction motor. The portable cleaning unit suction motor is operable on power provided by the portable cleaning unit energy storage member when the portable cleaning unit is removed from the base. The surface cleaning apparatus comprises or is connectable to a power cord. When the portable cleaning unit is mounted to the base and when the surface cleaning apparatus is connected to an external source of power by the power cord, the portable cleaning unit energy storage member is chargeable on power provided by the power cord provided by the external source of power and the portable cleaning unit suction motor is concurrently operable on power provided by the power cord provided by the external source of power.

    Abstract: A hand vacuum cleaner is provided with a first cyclonic cleaning stage, a pre-motor filter and a fluid flow motor. The first cyclonic stage has a bottom end, an upper end spaced longitudinally from the bottom end along a first stage axis, an air inlet and an air outlet, the first cyclonic cleaning stage comprising a first cyclone chamber and a first dirt collection region, the first dirt collection region having an end wall at the bottom end that is openable to empty the first dirt collection region. The pre-motor filter is positioned downstream from the first cyclonic cleaning stage and spaced from the openable end wall of the first dirt collection region in a direction of the first stage axis. The fluid flow motor is downstream from the pre-motor filter. The pre-motor filter is removable in the direction of the central longitudinal axis through an opening in an upper end of the hand vacuum cleaner.

    Abstract: A hand vacuum cleaner comprises a cyclone and a dirt chamber external to the cyclone. The cyclone comprises a dirt outlet in communication with the dirt chamber, a cyclone chamber rear end that is axially spaced from and opposed to a cyclone chamber front end and a sidewall located between the cyclone chamber front end and the cyclone chamber rear end. The cyclone air inlet and the cyclone air outlet are located at the cyclone chamber rear end wherein, when the upper end of the hand vacuum cleaner is positioned above the lower end of the hand vacuum cleaner, the central longitudinally extending axis is oriented generally horizontally. A plate is positioned at the front end of the cyclone chamber. The dirt outlet comprises a gap that is provided at the cyclone chamber front end and the gap is provided at a location that is spaced axially inwardly towards the cyclone chamber rear end.

    Abstract: A hair dryer has a primary air flow path and a secondary air flow path. The primary air flow path is operable to dry hair using suction in a first mode of operation. The secondary air flow path is operable to blow dry hair in a second mode of operation. In the primary mode of operation, the motor and fan assembly of the secondary air flow path is operated in reverse to direct air towards hair that is being dried by suction.
