Abstract:
An operator for controlling pivoting of a window sash relative to a window frame including dual arms which pivot relative to one another to move the window sash. A drive input pivotally drives a drive member which is eccentric about its pivot axis, where the drive input includes recesses spaced from the input pivot axis and engageable by a user's fingers to manual pivot the drive input. A drive ring gear is pivotable relative to the drive member and includes two axially spaced sets of gear teeth. The dual arms are secured to separate ring gears which are respectively associated with the two gear teeth sets. The drive ring gear is moved eccentrically relative to the pivot axis by the eccentric drive member whereby at least some of the teeth of the first set of drive ring gear teeth are disengaged from the teeth of its associated arm ring gear and at least some of the teeth of the second set of drive ring gear teeth are disengaged from the teeth of its associated arm ring gear. At least one of the first and second arm ring gears or the first and second sets of drive ring gear teeth have different numbers of teeth.
Abstract:
In a window with a frame of extruded profile members the exterior side of an edge portion of a thermo pane is supported by a first flange portion of the profile member and the inside by a glazing bead connected with the frame profile member. The main frame mainly consists of wood profiles, the exterior sides of which are covered by weather-resisting coverings. A hinge member at the top of the window comprises an edge portion (28) of an extruded profile member (27) forming a hinge pivot firmly connected to the main frame portion (20) at this side and a hook-shaped wall portion (6) of the opposite frame profile member (1) forming a hinge blade. At one of the other sides of the window an arrangement is provided to ensure engagement of said hinge pivot and hinge blade forming portions in the closed position of the window. Such arrangements may comprise a sliding block (31) arranged displaceably in a track in the frame profile member, which block can be moved between a position opposite a retaining device anchored in the main frame structure for permanently securing the frame in case of a fixed window and a position in which it can be connected to a motion transfer member which is guided in a recess in the wood profile of the main frame for complete accommodation of the motion transfer member in the closed position of an openable window.
Abstract:
A motorized window operator for opening and closing a window having a mechanical drive system including a rotatable drive axle. A housing contains a motor which is in operative engagement with a gear train having an output gear. The output gear is engageable with an engagement means mounted upon the drive axle of the window. For engaging the output gear train with the engagement means, operation of the motor will rotate the drive axle to either open or close the window according to desire. The gear train is dissengageable from the engagement means which at the same time dissengages power to the motor. The drive axle can then be manually operated.
Abstract:
This invention concerns about an electric device for opening or shutting automotive doors, which comprises a transmitting device controlling opening or shutting the door and an electromagnetic coil controlling the door lock. The transmitting device uses a motor and an electromagnetic clutch which are able to operate to open or close the door by pushing of a rack and attain the aim of automatically controlling the opening or closing of the door.
Abstract:
The synchronizing mechanism for the unfolding of articulated carrier elements which are outwardly extendable or inwardly retractable in a bellows-type arrangement on each side of a satellite body comprises a system of gear-train units placed alternately at one end of a driving carrier element. The mechanism is adapted to cooperate with at least one drive motor for folding-back or unfolding the carrier elements.
Abstract:
A station wagon tailgate type vehicle closure system operable in a randomly interchangeable manner in either one of a power mode and a manual mode, the system including a closure, an operator movable from a center position in opening and closing directions, a pin and slot connection between the closure and the operator effecting movement of the closure in the power mode during movement of the operator in either direction away from the center position while permitting lost motion between the closure and the operator during movement of the operator back to the center position, the lost motion also permitting movement of the closure in the manual mode when the operator is in the center position, a manual switch for energizing a motor adapted to drive the operator in either direction away from the center position, a reversing and stopping circuit responsive to deactuation of the manual switch for temporarily energizing the motor to return the operator to the center position, a striker mounted on the vehicle and movable between a center position and an extended position synchronously with movement of the operator, and a latch assembly on the closure engageable on the striker. When the operator is in the center position the striker is in its center position and the closure is movable in the normal manual mode. When the operator is actuated to move the closure toward a closed position the striker moves to the extended position for engagement with the latch assembly whereafter the striker during movement back to the center position pulls the closure to a fully closed position synchronously with movement of the operator back to its center position.
