Abstract: A display device includes an array substrate including a display region and a peripheral region, a counter substrate opposite to the array substrate, and a liquid crystal layer between the array substrate and the counter substrate. The display region includes a plurality of data signal lines and a plurality of scanning signal lines, the peripheral region includes a first wiring pattern arranged with a plurality of wirings connected to each of the plurality of scanning signal lines and a second wiring pattern applied with a certain potential, the first wiring pattern includes a first straight portion extending along the first direction, a second straight portion extending along the second direction, and a bending portion connecting the first straight portion and the second straight portion, and the bending portion includes a first wiring having a staircase-like stepped shape.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a liquid crystal optical element includes a transparent substrate including a main surface, an alignment film disposed on the main surface, and a liquid crystal layer overlapping the alignment film and including a cholesteric liquid crystal including liquid crystal molecules stacked helically and an additive exhibiting a liquid crystalline property. Each of the pixels includes a pixel electrode, a light emitting element, a drive transistor, a first capacitance electrode layer opposed to the pixel electrode and held at a constant potential, and an insulating layer forming an auxiliary capacitance together with the pixel electrode and the first capacitance electrode layer. Abstract: A liquid crystal display device having an outer shape of a display region formed other than a rectangle. A driver for supplying a video signal is disposed outside the display region. A selector with selector TFT is disposed between the display region and the driver. A video signal line is disposed between the driver and the selector, and a drain line is disposed between the selector and the display region. A scanning circuit for supplying a scanning signal to the scanning line is disposed outside the display region. The selector is disposed between the scanning line and the display region, and covered with ITO as the common electrode. The common bus wiring is disposed outside the selector.

Abstract: A light sensing apparatus includes a pixel array including Thin Film Transistors (TFTs) and an interface integrated circuit including silicon transistors. The pixel array includes a plurality of pixel circuits. Each of the plurality of pixel circuits includes a light sensitive device and a detection TFT connected to the light sensitive device. The pixel array may also include a plurality of correlated double sampling (CDS) circuits each including a current source configured to provide current that biases a detection TFT in one of the pixel circuits to be configured as a source-follower. The interface integrated circuit includes at least one receiver circuit configured to receive an output of at least one of the CDS circuits. The CDS circuits may also include a bypass TFT, and the interface integrated circuit may also include a current source that provides current that biases a detection TFT in one of the pixel circuits to be configured as a source-follower when the bypass TFT is active.

Abstract: According to an aspect, a detection device includes: a substrate; a photodiode in which a lower electrode, a semiconductor layer, and an upper electrode are stacked on the substrate in the order as listed; a transistor provided in the photodiode; an insulating layer provided between layers of the substrate and the photodiode; and a planarizing layer covering the insulating layer. The insulating layer comprises a projecting portion that projects toward the photodiode in a direction orthogonal to the substrate. The planarizing layer has a contact hole provided in a position that is below the photodiode and overlaps the projecting portion of the insulating layer. The photodiode is provided on an upper side of the planarizing layer and is also provided so as to cover the contact hole. The lower electrode of the photodiode is electrically coupled to the transistor at a bottom of the contact hole.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display apparatus includes a display device and an image display control circuit. The display device includes a display panel and a light controller. The light controller controls a direction of a light ray emitted from the display panel. The image display control circuit controls the display panel to display an image in which two or more parallax images having different parallax numbers are mixed, on a display surface of the display device. The image display control circuit displays a parallax image having a first parallax number in at least a first area and displays a parallax image having a second parallax number in a second area. The second parallax number is smaller than the first parallax number.
