Abstract:
The invention relates to a hinge for a stove door, comprising a housing (1) in which a plug-in part (2) is rotationally (10) mounted. In order to be able to easily influence the torque produced by the spring, a spring guide (3) which is loaded by a spring (6), preferably a pressure spring, is provided, said spring guide being fitted with roller (15) that is guided through a curved section (9) of the plug-in part (2).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a drivable flap hinge for connecting a flap such as a front hood or a trunk lid, to a body of an automobile in an articulated manner. Said drivable hinge comprises a first retaining part (2) for fixing to the flap, a second retaining part (3) for fixing to the body, at least one connecting member (6) which is pivotably arranged on at least one of the two retaining parts (2, 3) with a joint (8, 9); and a driving motor (16) which is drive-connected to a joint pin (17) of the joint (8). The invention provides a flap hinge which advantageously enables a front gate or tail gate of an automobile to pivot in a driven manner as a result of the driven joint pin (17) connecting the first retaining part (2) and the connecting member (6).
Abstract:
A roll screen cassette is provided for installation in a closure assembly which has a frame for moveably retaining a closure member. The frame includes a header, sill, and vertical jamb sections. At least one of the sections includes a pocket formed within its interior. The pocket having a first predetermined configuration defined by the interior of the section and for receipt of the roll screen. The roll screen including a pair of brackets from which said roll screen is pivotally supported. The pair of brackets having a second predetermined configuration compatible with the pocket of the frame section having the first predetermined configuration. The pair of brackets utilized for removeably retaining the roll screen within the pocket in use. The pair of brackets and roll screen being removeably held in position with respect to the frame only by the pocket having the first predetermined configuration and the pair of brackets having a second predetermined configuration compatible with the pocket and being located in the pocket in use. The compatible shapes of the pair of brackets and the pocket when installed in the frame section cooperate to prevent the pair of brackets from rotating with respect to the pocket and the frame when the roll screen is let out or taken up.
Abstract:
Process for determination of the position of a door, window or roof of an automobile vehicle, according to which the angular position of the rotor of the electric motor actuating this door, window or roof is determined and the position of the door, window or roof is calculated as a function of the said angular position. The position of the door, window or roof is calculated by correcting a theoretical position that depends on the angular position by a term that takes account of the stiffness of the mechanical transmission between the door, window or roof and the electric motor, this term being a function of the motor power supply current. The device embodying this process is advantageously used in an electric window winder.
Abstract:
A roll screen cassette for installation in a closure assembly having a frame for moveably retaining a closure member, said frame including a header, sill, and vertical jamb sections, at least one of said sections including a pocket formed within the interior thereof, said pocket having a first predetermined configuration defined by the interior of the section and for receipt of the roll screen, said roll screen comprising a pair of brackets from which said roll screen is pivotally supported, said pair of brackets having a second predetermined configuration compatible with said pocket of said frame section having the first predetermined configuration, said pair of brackets utilized for removeably retaining the roll screen within said pocket in use, said pair of brackets and roll screen being removeably held in position with respect to said frame only by said pocket having the first predetermined configuration and said pair of brackets having a second predetermined configuration compatible with said pocket and being located in said pocket in use, wherein the compatible shapes of said pair of brackets and said pocket when installed in said frame section cooperate to prevent the pair of brackets from rotating with respect to the pocket and said frame when said roll screen is let out or taken in use.
Abstract:
A one-way self closing gate such as may be used in retail stores, airports or libraries is provided with an inclined helical ramp mechanism by which opening of the gate also causes lifting of the gate arm relative to the gate base. When released the gate will tend to close itself under the force of gravity. To augment this gravity force a spring is provided which is compressed as the arm rises relative to the base. So that the gate does not close too quickly a screw presses a nylon slug against the turning shaft of the gate. When the gate is closed a force applied to open the gate in the contrary direction to that intended is resisted by abutment of a generously welded internal stop against a generously welded internal upright. In an alternate form this resistance function in the closed position is performed by an adjacent post positioned to intercept the motion of the moving barrier. In all cases the internal mechanism of the gate is enclosed in a housing to prevent injury to children's fingers.
Abstract:
An electrical window operator for opening and closing a window comprises at least one arm connected pivotally and detachably in a first end with a sash coupling member slidable side within a limited part of the length of the sash, said arm being pivotally connected at the other end with a second coupling member connected with the main frame. An operator housing arranged at the main frame accommodates an elongate drive shaft with a threaded section engaged by a nut element forming part of the second coupling member and an electrical drive unit in axial extension of the drive shaft.
Abstract:
The invention provides a biasing device for biasing a movable first structure to a position relative to a second structure, said biasing device includes aconnection mechanism for interconnecting said first and second structures, said connection mechanism including at least one motion reducing mechanism; andextensible and/or compressible biasing means for providing a biasing force;the biasing means is connected between said first or second structure and said motion reducing mechanism so that the length of extension or compression of said biasing means is less than the movement of said first structure relative to said second structure.
Abstract:
A device for pivoting a structural member about the axle of a hinge, and hinge being fitted to the structural member and to an object so as to permit pivoting of the member relative to the object, the member having at least one edge portion which is magnetic and which swings along a planar path when the member pivots about the hinge axle relative to the object, the device including: an arm pivoted for rotation about an axis which is parallel to the hinge axle; at least one magnet carried by the arm, the arrangement being such that, upon pivoting of the arm, the magnet moves in a path parallel to the path of the magnetic edge portion of the member and spaced a small distance from the path of the magnetic edge portion to provide an air gap between the magnet edge portion and the magnet, whereby the magnet and the magnetic edge portion are out of contact with each other but can be magnetically coupled so as to move simultaneously in their respective paths upon pivoting of the member relative to the body; and a mechanical for swinging said arm about its pivot axis.
