The present invention provides a system for disengaging a motor and preventing dynamic braking current loops. The system includes a power circuit, a gate driver circuit, and unidirectional switches attached to each motor winding. Unidirectional switches such as field effect transistors (FETs) can provide current blocking in only one direction when not conducting. Unidirectional blocking according to the present invention is sufficient for preventing the undesirable dynamic braking current loops. The approach of this invention requires N unidirectional switches, where N is the number of motor windings. Thus, on a 3 phase motor, three unidirectional switches are used, each being in series with one on the motor windings.

When the electric motor is locked for some reason, the over-lord more than the predetermined value is applied to a motor shaft and the phase converter. In such a case, a pin connecting the motor shaft with the phase converter is sheared at a notch. The signal control circuit is also protected for over current and over voltage. Two switch circuits of brake before make configuration are connected to the signal control circuit. An inverter is arranged between the two switch circuits. The inverter switches the motor drive signal among the two switch circuits and transmits it to a driver, which is connected to a motor drive circuit. A power source circuit is connected to the motor drive circuit to provide electricity for the motor drive circuit. A back electromotive force (back EMF) component for detection and control of the rotation speed of motor is disposed in the driver. The motor control device of the present invention has the advantages of reduced number of pins and shrunk volume.

A window actuation assembly for a vehicle which is structured to automatically lower at least one, but preferably all of the windows of a vehicle in the event that a vehicle becomes partially or totally submerged in a body of water and regardless if the orientation of the vehicle, is up-right, inverted, on its side, etc. One or more fluid sensors are located strategically throughout the various portions of the vehicle and are specifically structured activate a drive assembly for the lowering of the windows upon sensing a predetermined amount of water within an associated proximity of the vehicle, to the extent that the one or more sensors are themselves at least partially submerged. The sensors are further structured not to be activated in the unlikely event that liquid inadvertently is spilled upon or otherwise applied thereto. The one or more sensors may be associated with a single drive assembly and/or independent drive assemblies associated with each of the windows such that only one, or more preferably all of the windows may be lowered in an emergency, submerged condition of the vehicle. The windows may be restricted from being raised into the normally closed position once they have been lowered under emergency circumstances, in order to prevent inadvertent closing of the windows by an occupant of the vehicle suffering from injury or being otherwise disoriented because of the emergency.
