    Abstract: An electric parking brake device generates pressing force by pressing friction materials against a brake disc by causing a piston to move by motor operation. A control device executes: parking processing wherein the motor increases the pressing force to an initial pressing force higher than a lower-limit pressing force; and re-drive processing wherein the motor is driven and the pressing force increased at a re-drive time, which is a predetermined time after the end of execution of parking processing. During parking processing, the control device uses one among the initial pressing force and the predetermined time, in addition to a pressing force decrease characteristic corresponding to an assumed temperature set for use in calculation, as a basis to calculate the other of the initial pressing force and the predetermined time such that the pressing force becomes equal to or less than the lower-limit pressing force at the re-drive time.

    Abstract: An increase in startup current supplied to a motor is suppressed at an initial stage of starting automatic braking control, while current supply to the motor is performed in a fully energized state after the automatic braking control is started. While output of the motor is increased by controlling the motor in the fully energized state so that a high braking force with high responsiveness is obtained, startup current is prevented from becoming excessive by performing high frequency control only at startup. Thus, decrease in battery voltage is minimized and thus the occurrence of malfunction is minimized in the control systems of various electrical components used in the vehicle.

    Abstract: A vehicle brake device includes a hydraulic pressure generating device, a valve device, a pump and an accumulation section forming an accumulation chamber connected to a fluid passage between the valve device and the hydraulic pressure generating device or to a master chamber. A dead band is set in which the change of force of the magnitude corresponding to the hydraulic pressure in the master chamber does not substantially act on a brake operating member. A characteristic representing the relation between the pressure and the brake fluid quantity in the accumulation chamber is set based on a characteristic representing the relation between the pressure and the brake fluid quantity in a wheel cylinder and the dead band so that, when brake fluid is flowing into and from the accumulation chamber, a force of the magnitude corresponding to the master chamber hydraulic pressure does not act on the brake operating member.

    Abstract: A vehicle braking control device includes: an indicated-value-setting unit for setting an indicated current value, which relates to a differential pressure valve provided to a channel between a master cylinder and a wheel cylinder, to a value corresponding to a required differential pressure; and a depressurization-starting differential pressure acquisition unit for acquiring, as a depressurization-starting differential pressure, the differential pressure at the point in time when a pressurizing state for increasing the differential pressure caused by the differential pressure valve transitions to a depressurizing state for reducing the differential pressure caused by the differential pressure valve. The area between the depressurization-starting differential pressure and a boundary differential pressure is set as a depressurization-starting differential pressure area. When the depressurizing state is in effect and the required differential pressure is included in the depressurization-starting differential pressure area, the indicated-value-setting unit sets the slope of decrease of the indicated current value.
