A cellulite massage system includes a body having a bottom surface, means for producing suction to create a massage action at the bottom surface, and a built-in gel dispenser in said body for dispensing gel to the bottom surface. The invention also provides a method for treating the appearance of cellulite including the steps of applying suction to an area of a body containing cellulite so as to massage that area, and applying gel to that area so as to improve the texture and look of skin on the treated area of the body.

A device for eliminating poisons and pollutants from the human body and for revitalizing cells includes a temperature controlled upper cover having a natural five primary substance stone coating layer, a temperature controlled lower mat having vibrators and a natural five primary substance stone coating layer, a herb essence supplier connected to the interior of space formed by the upper cover and the lower mat, and a negative ion producing air pump connected to the herb essence supplier for supplying negative ions. The device adjusts the temperature of a user in the interior space between the upper cover and the lower mat and discharges the poisons in the human body through perspiration holes on the skin by the action of the natural five primary substance stone and absorbed herbal essence.

Microdermabrasion and suction massage apparatus are included in a single unit and alternatively connectable through a mode switch to a source of vacuum. The microdermabrasion section of the unit includes a crystal pick up station operating with a venturi effect to draw crystals through a hole into an air stream. The size of the hole is variable to control crystal density. A bleed valve is provided to control crystal velocity without controlling crystal density, while a bypass valve is provided to control crystal density without controlling crystal velocity. In an associated method, a microdermabrasion procedure is performed on the skin of a patient at an operative site. The mode switch is operated to activate the suction massage apparatus within the unit. This step is followed by performing a suction massage procedure at the operative site in order to promote healing of the abraded skin. The unit can be back flushed by connecting various portions of the unit to a pressurized output of the source of vacuum.

An apparatus is described for the coating of a human body with a tanning composition, such as a sunless tanning composition, wherein an arm with a plurality of nozzles thereon traverses within a booth to spray coat a body in the booth. The spray nozzles are oriented to avoid opposing air flows and excessive air flows which cause inefficient and uneven, dripping or streaking in the deposition of tanning composition on the skin. In another aspect, the apparatus provides for a foot rinser to rinse the feet of a user while the apparatus applies a sunless tanning composition to the user to avoid overly darkening the user's feet. In yet another aspect, the apparatus provides for a sanitation system to wash-down the spray booth between successive uses.

The invention comprises a topical compound preparation of sensitizing cream for application to the non-keratinized epithelium of a female, comprising a preparation of L-arginine and a preparation of menthol. The preparation of L-arginine may have a concentration of 4% or less, and the preparation of menthol has a concentration of 5% or less.

An abdomino-pelvic perfusion and lavage apparatus is disclosed to which skin surrounding an incision formed through an abdominal wall of a patient can be attached and suspended. The apparatus includes a containment vessel impermeable to water and air, having a wall having a base, wherein the wall has an upper end with a perimeter which defines an upper opening, a lower end with a perimeter which defines a base opening, a cranial end with a perimeter edge which defines an opening, and a caudal end with a perimeter edge which defines an opening. The containment vessel can be carried by a table on which a patient is positioned. Scaffolding carried by the containment vessel supports and elevates the skin surrounding the incision made through the abdominal wall of the patient and thereby forms a well above, and extending into, an abdomino-pelvic cavity. A plurality of fluid ports communicate through the wall of the containment vessel. The cranial opening and the caudal opening can be sealed around the patient's torso. A base seal can seal the base of the containment vessel to the table. Perfusion fluid can be supplied from a reservoir to one of the fluid ports communicating through the wall of the containment vessel and delivered to the well and can be withdrawn from the well and returned to the reservoir. A removable cover can be sealed over the upper opening of the containment vessel. The cover can be removed for visual inspection and manual manipulation of the lavage fluid and the patient's viscera. An air evacuation system can be connected to the fluid port and can evacuate aerosols and gasses from within the containment vessel. A heater can be used to heat the perfusion fluid when carrying out hyperthermic perfusion. The apparatus can be left in place on a patient for up to 5-10 days particularly when using cell-cycle specific chemotherapy agents which require long-term contact with tissues in order to achieve their optimal effect. Similarly, the apparatus can be used for repeated access to the abdomino-pelvic space in patients with peritonitis or pancreatitis.

A reservoir in the apparatus is arranged for containment of a clitoral stimulating compound, with a clitoral stimulating compound in said reservoir. A removable cover is arranged on the reservoir to expose the compound to permit the compound to be applied topically.

The apparatus can include a receiving surface constructed to contact a portion of the subject's skin and a vibratory mechanism associated with the receiving surface such that the vibratory mechanism transmits vibrations through the receiving surface and to the subject's skin. An invasive sharp can be substantially permanently supported and moveably disposed with respect to the receiving surface such that the invasive sharp reciprocates between a first position in which the sharp is spaced from the receiving surface, away from the subject's skin, and a second position in which at least a portion of the sharp protrudes through an opening in the receiving surface.

An apparatus and methods of its use in the treatment of oral tissue are disclosed. The apparatus of the present invention includes a vibrator that is adapted to allow at least one shaft to be mounted thereon, at least one shaft defining a first end and a second end wherein the first end is adapted to be mounted to the vibrator such that vibrational motion is transferred to said shaft, and a tip mounted on the second end of the shaft. The size and conformation of the tip can be altered to the specific treatment. The apparatus uses a vibrational massage to treat and enhance treatment of oral tissue. The apparatus is particularly effective in providing an enhanced treatment used for the application of medicaments to oral tissue, the placement of filling materials in prepared cavities, the treatment of dry sockets, burnishing in desensitizers, placement and cementation of inlays and onlays and treatment of temporomandibular joint disease.
