A wireless station in a WLAN generates a first set of data elements for sending to a final destination. The wireless station forms a first Internet Protocol (IP) packet with a header portion and a payload portion. The header portion specifies an IP address of a neighbor access point (AP) as the next hop destination. The payload portion of the IP packet includes an IP address of the final destination to indicate that the data elements are to be delivered to the final destination. The wireless station transmits the IP packet to the neighbor AP according to the IP address of the neighbor AP. Extended connectivity based on wireless paths between stations of a wireless local area network (WLAN) is thus provided.

Facilitating single sign-on (SSO) across multiple browser instances such that user authentication at one browser instance is used as a basis to permit access to protected resources (hosted on server systems) from other browser instances. In an embodiment, the different browser instances are executing on different client systems. An authentication server may maintain a registration data indicating the different client systems/browser instances registered by a user for SSO feature. After a user is authenticated for a first session from one browser instance, the authentication server enables the user to access any protected resource from registered client systems/browser instances without requiring further authentication (based on the presence of the authenticated first session).

As a result, the implementation of server systems supporting such client systems may be simplified. According to another aspect, an event handler is also implemented on the server system, to process the events generated by client system displaying menus in both the overlapping style and the cascading style. According to yet another aspect, a server system stores a in-memory representation of a context menu, and thereafter serves requests from different clients for the same hierarchical menu based on such in-memory representation.

A network node maintains a neighbor data structure in the form of a hash table containing multiple buckets for storing mapping entries, with each entry specifying a local address corresponding to a global address. The table is based on a hash function that generates a corresponding hash value for each global address. Each bucket is associated with a unique hash value and is implemented as a corresponding balanced tree containing a corresponding set of nodes, with each node storing a corresponding mapping entry. Upon receiving a lookup request containing a first global address, the node determines a first bucket by applying the hash function to the first global address, and then traverses a first tree corresponding to the first bucket to find a first entry having a global address equaling the first global address. Concurrent non-blocking access is permitted to various portions of the tree during changes in the tree.

In one embodiment, a causal dependency graph representing the usage dependencies among the various components of a computing environment is formed, the components being associated with key performance indicators (KPIs). A probabilistic model is trained with prior incidents that have occurred in the components to correlate outliers of KPIs in associated components to prior incidents. The training includes determining the correlation based on the causal dependency graph. Upon detecting the occurrence of outliers for performance metrics, an imminent performance issue likely to occur in a specific component is identified based on the probabilistic model and the detected outliers. A preventive action is performed to avoid the occurrence of the imminent performance issue in the specific component.

Another aspect facilitates creation/provisioning of a data service spanning multiple cloud infrastructures. In an embodiment, an orchestration server receives as inputs, the set of cloud infrastructures and count of nodes (“universe”) desired for the data service, and thereafter issues commands to provisioning systems of the respective cloud infrastructures to cause the desired data service to be created/provisioned.

In one embodiment, a server receives a ticket for a tenant from a ticketing system and then determines a gross job representing a class of jobs suitable for resolution of the received ticket. The server then identifies a set of values for a set of system parameters characterizing the computing resources serving the tenant. The server selects a target job based on the combination of the determined gross job and the set of values for the set of system parameters. The selected target job is then executed to cause resolution of the ticket for the tenant. According to another aspect, the server performs the above noted actions automatically without manual intervention, in response to adding of the ticket into the ticketing system.
