    摘要: A system and method are disclosed for using a camera image of a user's eye as a visual stimulus for the calibration point in an eyetracking calibration system. A camera image of a user's eye is generated on a user display using an eyetracker. The camera image of the user's eye is used as a visual stimulus of a calibration point. In an embodiment, the center of the pupil of the camera image of the user's eye represents the coordinates of the calibration point on the user display. In another embodiment, the center of the corneal reflection of the camera image of the user's eye represents the coordinates of the calibration point on the user display.

    摘要: MRM triggered MRM, where the triggered MRM transitions make use of mobility device parameter values for the same compound, is performed. A plurality of primary MRM transitions are received and stored together with a mobility device parameter value for each transition as an MRM cycle list. Control information instructs a mobility device and a mass spectrometer to interrogate each MRM transition on the MRM cycle list within an MRM cycle of the mass spectrometer. If a product ion intensity value of an MRM transition exceeds a threshold value for a primary MRM transition, a plurality of secondary MRM transitions of the primary MRM transition with different mobility device parameter values are added to the MRM cycle list. The intensities of the measured secondary MRM transitions provide information on the optimum mobility device parameter for each compound.

    摘要: Systems and methods are used to analyze a sample using variable detection scan resolutions. A tandem mass spectrometer is instructed to perform at least two scans of a sample with different detection scan resolutions using a processor. The tandem mass spectrometer includes a mass analyzer that allows variable detection scan resolutions. The selection of the different detection scan resolutions can be based on one or more properties of sample compounds. The properties may include a sample compound molecular weight distribution that is calculated from a molecular weight distribution of expected compounds or is determined from a list of molecular weights for one or more known compounds. The tandem mass spectrometer can also be instructed to perform an analysis of the sample before instructing the tandem mass spectrometer to perform the at least two scans of the sample.

    摘要: In a first location of a mass spectrometer, a plurality of ionized molecules of an ion source are selected that have mass-to-charge ratios within a mass-to-charge ratio window width. The plurality of selected ionized molecules are transmitted from a first to a second location. Reagent ions are transmitted to the second location to reduce a charge state of one or more of the plurality of selected ionized molecules. A mass analyzer is used to analyze the plurality of reduced ionized molecules and produce a mass spectrum. A compound is identified from a peak of the spectrum that has a mass-to-charge ratio less than or equal to the highest mass-to-charge ratio in the window width if the noise is multiply charged and greater than the highest mass-to-charge ratio in the window width if the noise is singly charged.

In various embodiments, a multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) experiment is performed on a sample targeting one or more peptide transitions that are unique to one or more species using a tandem mass spectrometer. The one or more measured product ion spectra are compared to product ions of the one or more peptide transitions that are unique to one or more species using the processor. One or more species of the sample are detected by reporting product ions of the one or more peptide transitions that are unique to one or more species that match the one or more measured product ion spectra using the processor.

    摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed for quantitating detectable compounds of a sample. Sample product ion spectra are received for each mass selection window for each time step. The received sample product ion spectra are searched for the presence of known compounds of interest with known product ion spectra by retrieving the known product ion spectra from a library, retrieving the sample product ion spectra corresponding to the precursor mass selection window expected to contain a precursor ion corresponding to the known product ion spectra, generating product ion traces in time for the sample product ion spectra for the known product ion spectra, calculating a score for the product ion traces and product ion spectra that represents how well known product ions and sample product ions match, and calculating a quantitative value for the known compound from the product ion traces when the score exceeds a threshold value.

A fast sample introduction device that is non-chromatographic is instructed to supply each sample of a plurality samples to a tandem mass spectrometer using a processor. The fast sample introduction device can include a flow injection analysis device, an ion mobility analysis device, or a rapid sample cleanup device. The tandem mass spectrometer is instructed to perform fragmentation scans at two or more mass selection windows across a mass range of each sample of the plurality of samples using the processor. The two or more mass selection windows across the mass range can have fixed or variable window widths. The tandem mass spectrometer can be instructed to obtain a mass spectrum of the mass range before instructing the tandem mass spectrometer to perform the fragmentation scans.
