    Abstract: A transportable container assembly including a transportable container defining an enclosed interior space and having an opening member cooperatively engaging a mounting frame. The opening member has a closed position and an open position and access to the interior space is permitted in the open position. A localized device or system is attached to the transportable container and is coupled to an electrical power source. A reed switch apparatus coupled to the transportable container communicates the position of the opening member to the localized device or system. The localized device or system provides a localized function depending on the reported position of the opening member. The localized function includes at least one of a group consisting of a local lighting function, local locking mechanism action and local refrigeration system action/function. The localized device or system communicates the position of the opening member to a remote device or system at a location remote from the transportable container. The remote device or system is capable of providing remote monitoring and control functions or actions at the transportable container depending on the communicated position of the opening member.

    Abstract: A system and method for retaining a linear actuator on a crane component such as a mast is disclosed. In the system a retaining mechanism is mounted on either a body of the linear actuator or the crane component and a catch is mounted to the other of the body or the crane component. Retraction of a rod of the linear actuator causes a cap on the rod to contact the retaining mechanism, which causes the retaining mechanism to move into a latched configuration securing the linear actuator.

    Abstract: Air-motion powered devices may be used to automatically maintain a target tire inflation pressure or to equip vehicle wheels with additional functionality. One illustrative device embodiment is an air compressor that attaches to the wheel of a vehicle, moving with the wheel as the wheel rotates. An action member extends from the compressor body to be acted upon by air through which the vehicle moves, the air causing motion of the action member relative to the compressor body to power the air compressor. Another illustrative device embodiment is an energy harvester that attaches to the wheel of a vehicle to move with the wheel as the wheel rotates. An action member attached to the base of the energy harvester is acted upon by air through which the vehicle moves, causing motion of the action member relative to the base to generate electrical power for sensors, lights, or other transducers.

    Abstract: A lift crane includes a carbody and movable ground engaging members mounted on the carbody. A rotating bed is rotatably connected to the carbody and includes a counterweight support frame including a rack coupled directly to a lower surface of the rotating bed. A boom is pivotally mounted to the rotating bed. A counterweight unit includes a trolley, the counterweight unit being in a movable relationship with respect to the rotating bed. A counterweight unit movement device is configured to move the counterweight unit toward and away from the boom. Other embodiments include a counterweight support beam movably connected to the rotating bed, the counterweight support beam including another rack coupled to a lower surface of the counterweight support beam. A counterweight support beam movement device is connected between the counterweight support beam and the counterweight support frame.

    Abstract: A gravity actuated crane stop for a crane is disclosed. The gravity actuated crane stop has a first connector at a first end configured to couple to a first crane member and an interface at a second end configured to interface with a second crane member. A gravity actuated mechanism is disposed on the body and has a first configuration in which gravity actuated mechanism disables the interface, and a second configuration in which the gravity actuated mechanism does not disable the interface. The gravity actuated mechanism is automatically changeable from the first configuration to the second configuration as the body is moved from a first orientation relative to a horizontal plane to a second orientation relative to the horizontal plane.

    Abstract: A cab support assembly supports and moves an operator's cab relative to a frame of a construction machine. The cab support assembly includes a cab support coupled to the frame of the construction machine. The operator's cab is mounted to a cab support mounting frame, which in turn is pivotably coupled to the cab support. An actuation device is coupled to the cab support and to the cab support mounting frame.     Abstract: An integrated circuit controls one or more external back-to-back (anti-series) transistor switches with three pins per switch. Two pins couple the switch terminals of the external switch to terminals of an internal anti-series switch. An intermediate source node of the internal switch provides a reference voltage that is representative of the external switch's intermediate source node. A predriver of the integrated circuit drives a gate signal relative to the reference voltage, enabling fast, non-dissipative switching of the external switch. A disclosed method includes coupling switch terminal signals from an external anti-series switch to terminals of an internal anti-series switch; and driving a gate signal to the external anti-series switch relative to a reference voltage of an intermediate node of the internal anti-series switch.

    Abstract: A propulsion generator which employs one or more unbalanced rotors, such as fly wheels or other unbalance rotating members, which can be connected at a lower portion of a downhole coiled tubing string or other downhole tubular string for inducing propulsion of the coiled tubing. The unbalanced rotors may be oriented at different positions with respect to each other. The instantaneous fluid flow through the propulsion generator is substantially equivalent to the average fluid flow rate through the tool to provide relatively consistent fluid flow to downhole motors below the propulsion generator for operating the drill bit and/or cutters.
