Abstract: Exemplary of embodiments of the disclosure include a method which includes determining, by a first device, whether the first device has a current time and transmitting a request for the current time to a second device if the first device does not have the current time. The second device is in a local network. The method further includes receiving, by the first device, the current time from the second device, authenticating a certificate based on the current time received from the second device, and establishing a network connection to the local network based on the authenticated certificate.

Abstract: A current-limiting fuse for an electronic apparatus, such as, for example, a transformer. The fuse can be withdrawable under a liquid insulating medium, such as oil, and is capable of being replaceable in the field. The fuse can include a fuse element that is encased within an electrically insulative sheath. Additionally, a plurality of contact blades can extend from a lower portion of the fuse and be securely engaged with contact clips that are in electrical communication with one or more components of the electronic apparatus. The contact blades can be positioned within a dielectric insulating medium while a reminder of the fuse between the contact blades and the enclosure can be positioned within an air gap. Further, the contact blades can accommodate seating of the fuse within the enclosure and/or an associated canister.

Abstract: A launching tube for use with a liquid filled tank can be sized to accommodate a submersible vehicle for dispensing into the liquid tank. The tank can be an electrical transformer or any other liquid containing tank such as but not limited to a chemical tank. The launching tube can include a valve for insertion into a launching chamber, and a tank side valve for launching of the submersible into the tank. In one form the launching tube includes an antenna for communication with the submersible and/or a base station. The launching tube can also include a sensor such as a camera, as well as an agitator. The agitator can be used to facilitate bubble removal from the inside of the launching tube.

Abstract: A power semiconductor module includes a baseplate that has a first region at a first side located adjacent to an edge of the baseplate and proceeding in a first plane. An encapsulation material covers portions of the baseplate so that the first region of the baseplate is free of the encapsulation material and the baseplate at the edge side adjacent to the first region is at least partly covered by the encapsulation material. The baseplate at its first side is configured for being provided with an electric circuit and the baseplate at its second side is configured for being brought into contact to a heat dissipating element by applying a clamping force with a clamping part to the first region.

Abstract: A power semiconductor device includes a Si chip providing a Si switch and a wide bandgap material chip providing a wide bandgap material switch, wherein the Si switch and the wide bandgap material switch are electrically connected in parallel. A method for controlling a power semiconductor device includes: during a normal operation mode, controlling at least the wide bandgap material switch for switching a current through the power semiconductor device by applying corresponding gate signals to at least the wide bandgap material switch; sensing a failure in the power semiconductor device; and, in the case of a sensed failure, controlling the Si switch by applying a gate signal, such that a current is generated in the Si chip heating the Si chip to a temperature forming a permanent conducting path through the Si chip.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) tube, the tube comprising a plurality of concentric layers of an FRP material forming a shell of the tube. At least one blind threaded longitudinal bolt hole is provided from a transverse end surface of the shell. The bolt hole extends in at least three of the plurality of layers, a middle layer encompassing a plane passing through a center of the bolt hole, an inner layer encompassing a plane of an innermost extent of the bolt hole, and an outer layer encompassing a plane of an outermost extent of the bolt hole. The fibre filament of each of the inner and outer layers has been wound at a first angle to the longitudinal axis and the fibre filament of the middle layer has been wound at a second angle to the longitudinal axis.

Abstract: A switchgear having a turn and twist mechanism. The switchgear has a contact system for electrical current conduction and bus transfer switching. The contact system has a fixed contact assembly and a movable contact assembly. The turn and twist mechanism drives the movable contact assembly for engagement/disengagement of the movable contacts with the fixed contacts. The turn and twist mechanism comprises a cylindrical pipe and a driving assembly. The driving assembly comprises a driving base, a floating carrier and a driving pin arrangement, for driving the cylindrical pipe for the engagement/disengagement. The driving base drives the floating carrier for turning the cylindrical pipe about a first axis, and drives the driving pin arrangement for twisting the cylindrical pipe about a second axis.
