Abstract:
A method for communication between inside and outside of a transmission medium using the transmission medium as a communication line, includes the steps of: receiving an electric signal having information related to a transmission medium from a plurality of sensors inside the transmission medium; conducting the electric signal to the transmission medium; and sensing the electric signal flowing to the outside of the transmission medium. Because a modulating unit is not necessary, a power consumption is minimized. In addition, since an electric signal is directly conducted to a medium, it is not necessary to use an antenna, and thus, degradation of a reception rate according to a directional property of the antenna can be prevented. Moreover, since the electric signal is directly generated in the medium and the medium is directly used as an electric conductor, the overall size of a transmitter is reduced.
Abstract:
The present invention provides method and system for data communication in the human body and a sensor therefor. The method and system transmit information through the human body to a receiver located outside the human body using low current and voltage polarity, so that they cause no damage to the human body and achieve low power consumption and better receiving sensitivity. In addition, the sensor contains a CMOS image sensor on which all circuits are integrated without radio transmitter and antenna, so that it achieves a low-priced and small-sized capsule type endoscope.
Abstract:
A two-phase brushless direct-current (BLDC) motor having a single Hall effect device. The BLDC motor includes a stator comprised of 2n coils grouping as first and second phase coils at a uniform interval, and a rotor which N-pole and S-pole magnets of the same number as that of the stator coils are alternately disposed, the 2n magnets forming n pairs, each pair of magnets are disposed at a uniform interval, wherein a distant ratio from the center of one N-pole magnet to the centers of the S-pole magnets adjacent the N-pole magnet is established into 1:1.4. Since 2n auxiliary magnets are disposed annularly on the rotor with the same length as each other corresponding to the N-pole and S-pole magnets, a single Hall effect device detects the magnetic pole by magnetic flux of the rotating auxiliary magnets and generates the rotating position signal of the rotor, so that a switching controller can activate the first and second phase coils alternately. Thus, the motor has a simple driving circuit, a high efficiency and a small torque ripple.

Abstract:
An image forming apparatus including a transfer unit that transfers onto a transfer medium an image that is formed on a photosensitive medium; a power supply unit that provides a transfer power to the transfer unit; and a transfer power control unit that controls the transfer power that is provided to the transfer unit by the power supply unit. The transfer power control unit sets as a target voltage an output voltage of the power supply unit that is measured by supplying an initial transfer current to the transfer unit in a predetermined certain period before an image is transferred onto the transfer medium and controls the power supply unit to apply the set target voltage to the transfer unit while an image is being transferred onto the transfer medium.
