Abstract: Provided herein are compositions, systems, and methods treating latent viral infection with an NMD inhibitor (e.g. to reactive the latent virus to lytic virus), in combination with an anti-viral agent. In certain embodiments, the latent viral infection is caused by EBV or KSHV. In other embodiments, cancer (e.g., caused by the virus) is treated by further administering an anti-cancer agent, such as an immunomodulatory agent.

Abstract: The present invention provides markers and methods for determining whether a subject, particularly a human subject, has or is at risk of developing, a disease such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus, insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, NAFLD (Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease) or NASH (Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis) (e.g., within the ensuing year, two years, and/or three years). The present application also relates to the use of such markers and methods for monitoring the status of such diseases in a subject or the effects of therapeutic agents on subjects with such diseases.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for evaluating infranodal pacing is applied to a patient. Electrocardiogram (ECG) data representing the pacing is obtained from a set of electrodes as an ECG lead. A predictor value representing a frequency content a portion of the ECG lead is extracted. A fitness parameter is determined for the pacing from at least the predictor value. The fitness parameter represents a likelihood that the applied infranodal pacing will induce left ventricular dysfunction in the patient. The fitness parameter is displayed to a user at an associated display.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus are provided for generating an atlas image of a branched structure and predicting a likelihood of success of certain treatments based on the atlas image. In one example, a method includes registering a plurality of images of instances of a branched structure to generate an aligned image for a cohort, wherein the branched structure comprises a central structure and at least one primary branch connected to the central structure; for each primary branch of the branched structure, iteratively registering respective portions of a plurality of images containing the primary branch to generate an aligned image portion of the primary branch; and applying a control grid of the aligned image portion of the primary branch to respective image portions containing the central structure and the other primary branches prior to iteratively registering a next primary branch; and generating an atlas image for the cohort based on the aligned image portions.
