摘要: The present invention relates to a physiological recording electrode, and, more particularly, to an EEG (electroencephalography) recording electrode that can be used without the need for numerous steps in preparing the subject's skin and the electrode itself. The invention further relates to a surface feature or penetrator with a size and shape which that will not bend or break, which limits the depth of application, and/or anchors the electrode or other device during normal application; and a packaging system comprising a well and electrolytic fluid for maintaining a coating of said electrolytic fluid on the surface feature or penetrator.

摘要: According to certain described aspects, multiple acoustic sensing elements are employed in a variety of beneficial ways to provide improved physiological monitoring, among other advantages. In various embodiments, sensing elements can be advantageously employed in a single sensor package, in multiple sensor packages, and at a variety of other strategic locations in the monitoring environment. According to other aspects, to compensate for skin elasticity and attachment variability, an acoustic sensor support is provided that includes one or more pressure equalization pathways. The pathways can provide an air-flow channel from the cavity defined by the sensing elements and frame to the ambient air pressure.

摘要: An aspect of the disclosure pertains to a wrist-worn device that may be characterized by the following features: an external surface that is not in contact with the user when the wrist-worn device is worn; a force sensor; a PPG sensor disposed on the wrist-worn device; and control logic configured to: (i) generate one or more sensor data samples, each sensor data sample including data that links force data generated by the force sensor when a user presses a against the external surface at a given time with heart rate data obtained from the PPG sensor at the given time; and (ii) calculate an estimate of blood pressure from the one or more sensor data samples. As examples, the force sensor may be a force sensitive touch screen or film, a strain gauge integrating into the device, or a calibrated spring element configured to be pressed by the user.

摘要: A medical device for providing therapy to a patient comprises at least one processor configured to receive a first patient biometric signature from at least one first sensor interface. The at least one processor is further configured to record the first patient biometric signature in a patient encounter record in at least one memory. The at least one processor is further configured to receive patient information from an external source, the patient information comprising a second patient biometric signature. The at least one processor is further configured to make a determination that the second patient biometric signature corresponds to the first patient biometric signature. The at least one processor is further configured to, in response to making the determination, merge the patient information and the patient encounter record into a merged record for a patient encounter.

摘要: A diagnostic electrocardiogram system employing an electrode lead system (40) for generating one or more electrode signals indicative of electrical activity of a subject heart (10). The diagnostic electrocardiogram system further employs a diagnostic electrocardiograph (50) coupled to the electrode lead system (40) for communicating (e.g., listing, displaying and/or printing a subject electrocardiogram (20) and one more diagnostic electrocardiograms (30) designated as a morphology match to the subject electrocardiogram (20). The subject electrocardiogram (20) includes one or more interpretations of ECG features derived from tire electrical activity of the subject heart (10) as indicated by tire electrode signal(s) (e.g., an algorithmic interpretation and/or an electrocardiographer interpretation of the subject electrocardiogram (20)). The diagnostic electrocardiogram(s) includes one or more diagnoses of ECG features derived from recorded electrical activity of diagnosed heart(s) (11) (e.g., an algorithmic diagnosis and/or an electrocardiographer diagnosis of the diagnostic electrocardiogram(s) (30)).

摘要: One embodiment is a method of performing thoracic tomography on a human subject including performing multiple 4-wire impedance measurements on a region of interest to obtain measured impedance data; comparing the measured impedance data to simulated impedance data obtained from a plurality of models of the region of interest; for each of the models, determining a fit of the model based on a comparison between the simulated impedance data obtained from the model and the measured impedance data; and integrating individual resistivity estimates obtained from the models based on a fit of the model such that the individual resistivity estimate from a better fitting model is weighted more heavily in a final resistivity estimate than an individual resistivity estimate from a worse fitting model.

摘要: Multiple circuits in a computing device can share one or more conductive elements. The use of the conductive element can vary by circuit, such as an antenna radiator for a radio frequency (RF) circuit or an electrode for an electrocardiography (ECG) circuit. The circuitry sharing a conductive element can utilize signals obtained over different frequency ranges. Those ranges can be used to select decoupling circuitry, or elements, that can enable the respective circuits to obtain signals over a respective frequency range, excluding signals over one or more other frequency ranges corresponding to other circuitry sharing the circuit. Such an approach allows for concurrent independent operation of the circuitry sharing a conductive element.
