A holding device includes a loading frame and two mounting plates. The loading frame includes a base portion for loading an HDD and a pair of sidewalls perpendicularly extending from the base portion. The sidewalls are parallel to each other. Each sidewall includes two sliding ribs substantially perpendicularly extending from a surface thereof away from the other sidewall. The two mounting plates are opposite to each other. Each mounting plate includes two guiding rails substantially perpendicularly extending from a surface thereof toward the other mounting plate. The two sliding ribs of each sidewall are configured to be slid into the two guiding rails of a corresponding mounting plate.
Abstract:
Spectrum sensing in wireless communications is provided to identify utilized and/or unutilized frequency bands reserved for primary users using a cyclostationary beamforming approach. An adaptive cross self-coherent restoral (ACS) algorithm can be utilized to extract signals of interest (SOI) at unique cycle frequencies related to primary and/or secondary users from an antenna array measurement. Based on the SOI, one or more users of the spectrum can be identified or the spectrum can be regarded as vacant; this can be based on lobe identification in the frequency spectrum of the SOI, in one example. This mechanism is less complex than traditional cyclic spectrum analysis methods. The cyclostationary beamforming based approach is more effective than the energy detection method. Also, the need for quiet periods in spectrum sensing is eliminated when using this mechanism such that signals can be transmitted simultaneously with receiving signals over the antenna array.
Abstract:
A user assigns a major and minor channel number combination to a media service which does not have such a pre-existing combination, where such a media service is accessed by using such a channel combination without having to resort to the typical means of accessing the media service, such as using a web site URL or radio frequency. Optionally, the invention will automatically update the minor numbers associated with a media service when older versions of the media service become unavailable.
Abstract:
A method is disclosed for a multi-zone interference correction processing for a rapid thermal processing (RTP) system. This processing allows for improved calibration/tuning of RTP systems by accounting for zone coupling. The disclosed method includes establishing baseline characteristic data and zone characteristic data, and then using the baseline and zone characteristic data to determine lamp-control parameters, such as temperature offset values, for temperature sensors of the RTP system. The baseline characteristic data includes information regarding baseline heating uniformity of an RTP system. The zone characteristic data is collected for a plurality of heating zones within the heating chamber of the RTP system, each zone being associated with a respective temperature probe. The zone characteristic data is collected based on controlled temperature sensor variations. The lamp-control parameters for temperature probes of the RTP system are then calculated based on the baseline characteristic data and the zone characteristic data.
Abstract:
A positive airway pressure assist breathing apparatus or ventilator system has a gas delivery unit, an inspiration line connected to the output of the gas delivery unit for connecting the gas delivery unit to a, patient during an inspiratory phase of each breath, and an expiratory unit for controlling exhausting of gases from the patient during an expiratory phase of each breath. A pressure sensor senses gas pressure in the system, and a control unit controls pressure of gas supplied to a patient in each inspiratory phase based on a pre-set target pressure. The control unit is arranged to calculate a boost pressure level periodically according to a determined patient breathlessness level, and to boost the pressure of gas supplied to the patient at the start of each inspiratory phase to the calculated boost pressure level higher than the pre-set target pressure, and to reduce the pressure back to the pre-set target pressure at a predetermined time after the start of the inspiratory phase and prior to the end of the inspiratory phase. Boost pressure is adjusted periodically based on each new determination of the patient breathlessness level.
Abstract:
A system and method of controlling the termination of the inhalation phase in a pressure support ventilation system is disclosed, in which an expiratory trigger sensitivity, or ratio of inspiratory flow rate to peak inspiratory flow rate at which the inspiration phase is terminated, is varied in proportion to variations in a calculated respiratory time constant. The system includes sensors for monitoring pressure and flow of gas during each breath, and, based on the sensor outputs, calculates the respiratory time constant for one breath or a series of breaths. The expiratory trigger sensitivity is automatically increased with increasing patient respiratory time constant, providing a closed loop control of expiratory trigger sensitivity. The expiratory trigger sensitivity may also be varied in response to changes in supra-plateau pressure.
