Abstract:
A wiring board of the present invention has a terminal section and a wiring section connected to the terminal section. The terminal section is configured so as to have a plurality of long connection terminals placed at predetermined intervals along a direction orthogonal to a direction in which the wiring board is to be inserted; and short connection terminals arranged between adjacent long connection terminals so as to be located behind the respective long connection terminals with respect to the direction of insertion. At least one adjacent pair consisting of a long connection terminal and a short connection terminal is short-circuited, and the length of the thus-short-circuited short connection terminal is made shorter than non-short-circuit short connection terminals.
Abstract:
An actuator operation amount setting unit prepares the rotational speed command value for an electric motor such that the phase of an intake valve changes in accordance with the target phase. An electric-motor EDU controls the motor supply electric power such that the electric motor operates in accordance with the rotational speed command value. An overheating determination unit determines whether at least one of the electric motor and the electric-motor EDU needs to be restricted from heating up based on a result of comparison between the information indicating the motor supply electric power and the reference value. A rotational speed command value restriction unit restricts the rotational speed command value provided to the electric-motor EDU to a value within a predetermined range, when it is determined that the at least one of the electric motor and the electric-motor EDU needs to be restricted from heating up. A reference value setting unit variably sets the reference value based on the rotational speed of the electric motor.
Abstract:
A motor current (driving current of motor) is estimated based on a target motor speed, an actual motor speed, and an engine speed. When the estimated motor current exceeds the upper limit value equivalent to a heat generation limiting current, the motor current is restricted by restricting a variation (motor speed F/B amount) in target motor speed outputted to an EDU from an ECU. Thereby, the heat value of motor may not exceed the heat generation limit, and it can be prevented that the coil temperature of motor exceeds an allowable temperature range. A durability deterioration and failure of motor can be prevented.
Abstract:
An ECU detects heat generation center of gross heat value. A combustion state of an engine is determined based on the heat generation center. When a deviation between the average heat generation center and the subject heat generation center exceeds a predetermined value, the ECU determines that the engine combustion state is deteriorated. With respect to a cylinder in which the combustion state is deteriorated, fuel injection amount is increased. With respect to a cylinder in which the combustion state is not deteriorated, the fuel injection amount is decreased in order to perform lean-limit control.
Abstract:
An engine ECU executes a program including the steps of: detecting a waveform of vibration of an engine at a predetermined knock detection gate; determining whether a detected vibration's waveform and a knock waveform model stored in memory match within a predetermined range; if the model and the detected vibration's waveform match within the predetermined range, determining that the engine knocks; and if the model and the detected vibration's waveform do not match within the predetermined range, then determining that the engine does not knock.
Abstract:
A plurality of variables representing the characteristics of a knock is obtained from an output signal of a sensor. The variables include a peak value of the knock frequency component in the output signal of the sensor and a waveform correlation coefficient representing the correlation between the waveform of the output signal and an ideal knock waveform, which is the waveform specific to a knock. The peak value and the waveform correlation coefficient are normalized, and a detection distribution is created using the obtained normalized data values. A correlation coefficient for knock determination representing the correlation between the detection distribution and an ideal knock distribution is calculated. The correlation coefficient for knock determination is compared with a predetermined knock determination threshold value, and the knock determination threshold value is corrected in accordance with the comparison result. As a result, the accuracy and the reliability of knock determination are improved.
Abstract:
An engine can be operated in different modes by varying the number of operating cylinders. In a reduced operating cylinder mode, the intake valve of the inoperative cylinder is maintained closed throughout all four strokes of a four-stroke cylinder cycle. The exhaust valve of the same inoperative cylinder is opened only in the suction stroke and the exhaust stroke. The inoperative cylinder sucks high pressure exhaust gas through the opened exhaust valve in the suction stroke and discharges it through the opened exhaust valve in the exhaust stroke after the compression stroke and the combustion stroke. The intake/exhaust valve control for the inoperative cylinder is started from the suction stroke after one combustion cycle of the inoperative cylinder when the engine is switched from an all cylinder-operating mode to a reduced cylinder-operating mode.
Abstract:
At time of starting an engine, stop/rotation of an electric motor is sensed based on presence/absence of output pulses of an encoder installed in the motor. Controlling of power supply to the motor is prohibited to maintain an off-state of the motor until start of rotation of the motor is sensed. When the start of the motor is sensed, the controlling of the power supply to the motor is started. At time of stopping the engine, stop/rotation of the motor is sensed based on time intervals of pulses outputted from the encoder. The controlling of the power supply to the motor is enabled until sensing of stopping of rotation of the motor. When the stopping of rotation of the motor is sensed, the controlling of the power supply to the motor is prohibited to stop the power supply to the motor.
