摘要: The ink cartridge has a first detection target portion for detecting ink level and a second detection target portion for identifying the type of an ink cartridge. The ink level detection device uses an optical sensor to scan the first and second detection target portions of the ink cartridge, and detects ink level and the type of the ink cartridge, that is, whether the ink cartridge is containing standard amount of ink or large amount of ink. Therefore, the number of image formation on recording media can be estimated, and failure in image formation due to a shortage of ink in the middle of image formation can be inhibited.

摘要: At a predetermined position during the lateral movement of a carriage 10, a gap switching mechanism 30 for switching a gap between a recording head 15 and a recording medium is provided. The recording head 15 is mounted facing downward on the carriage 10. A part close to one side on a lower end of the carriage is slidably and pivotably supported by a guide shaft 11 of a round shaft shape. A switching block member 13 provided with several abutment portions 52 and 53 with different heights, which are positioned so as to be opposed to a slide portion 12a at an upper end of a frame 12 extending in a vertical direction along a back of the carriage. The A switching block member 13 is pivotably supported by the carriage. A first pushing portion 56 is located at a left end of the frame so as to abut against the switching block member 13. A pivotal posture of the first pushing portion is changed due to the abutment to bring the abutment portion 53 into a slide contact relationship with the frame 12, so that a small gap is provided. A second pushing portion 57 is located at a right end of the frame so as to abut against the switching block member 13, a pivotal posture of the first pushing portion is changed according to the abutment to bring the abutment portion 52 into a slide contact relationship with the frame 12, so that a large gap is provided.

摘要: An image forming apparatus which corrects a transfer amount of a recording material without a scanner is provided. A paper is transferred to a position in which the transfer amount is adjusted by an LF roller, and a plurality of test pattern images, each of which is composed of a first pattern image and a second pattern image, are printed. Then, the paper is transferred to a position in which the transfer amount is adjusted by an exit roller, and the aforementioned plurality of test pattern images are printed. The plurality of test pattern images differ from each other in the transfer amount between printings of the first pattern image and the second pattern image. A degree of error in the transfer amount of the respective rollers can be visually observed. Accordingly, by receiving an input based on the printed test pattern images, it is possible to correct the transfer amount of the respective rollers.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for cleaning heavy hydrocarbon scale from a shell and tube heat exchanger or other such equipment incorporated in a device in a petroleum refining plant or the like that processes petroleum hydrocarbons as a raw material. A mixture of petroleum-derived hydrocarbon A which can dissolve the oil component of the heavy hydrocarbon scale and an oxygen-containing polar organic compound B that promotes dissolution and dispersion is employed as the organic cleaning solvent. As a result, the heavy hydrocarbon scale can be removed with surety within a short period of time at low cost.

摘要: A system for controlling engine speed for a vehicle such as a fork-lift. The system has an accelerator pedal for controlling an engine speed, and a control lever for controlling the direction of movement of the vehicle, or the system is provided with a seesaw type accelerator pedal for controlling the engine speed and the direction of movement of the vehicle. An EXNOR gate is provided for detecting deceleration of the engine while the accelerator pedal is depressed. When deceleration is detected, the throttle valve is returned to an engine idling position or the supply of fuel is cut. Thus, an effective engine braking can be obtained when the direction of movement of the vehicle is changed while the accelerator pedal is depressed.A window comparator is provided for detecting the area near the end of deceleration, so that the engine speed is increased prior to the commencement of acceleration.

摘要: An intermittent type swirl injection nozzle providing substantially improved spray characteristics while being easy to manufacture and install. The nozzle includes a nozzle body and a needle valve slidably disposed in a guide hole of the nozzle body with a spray hole communicating a body seat formed inside the nozzle body and the forward end of the needle valve. A swirl passage is provided around the needle valve for giving a swirl flow influence around the axis of the needle valve to fuel when the needle valve is lifted from the body seat. A straight passage is provided in a portion where the inner wall of the guide hole and the needle valve make sliding contact for giving the fuel a straight flow influence in the axial direction of the needle valve. The two flows are joined prior to passing through the spray hole.
