The present invention provides a method and system of material identification using binocular steroscopic and multi-energy transmission image. With the method, any obstacle that dominates the ray absorption can be peeled off from the objects that overlap in the direction of a ray beam. The object that is unobvious due to a relatively small amount of ray absorption will thus stand out, and the material property of the object, such as organic, mixture, metal and the like can be identified. This method lays a fundament for automatic identification of harmful objects, such as explosive, drugs, etc., concealed in a freight container.

Disclosed is a ramp-platform device for an on-board relocatable small vehicle inspection system. The ramp-platform device includes a connection frame having a rectangular shape and defining therein an inner space, first and second intermediate parts which are disposed in parallel with each other and at two opposite sides of the connection frame, first to fourth ramp parts having a substantially triangle shaped longitudinal section. The first and second ramp parts are removably connected to the two opposite ends of the first intermediate part separately, and the third and fourth ramp parts are removably connected to the two opposite ends of the second intermediate part separately. The height of a top end of the first to the fourth ramp parts is substantially equal to the height of the first and second intermediate parts. When it is not in use, the ramp-platform device may be placed on the scanning vehicle of the moving device in a disassembling and folding conditions, and when it is under inspection, the vehicle to be inspected is raised to a predetermined height by assembling and spreading the ramp-platform device, so that a chassis and wheels of the small vehicle may be entered into the scanning range to achieve the inspection of each part of the small vehicle.

The radiation inspection system comprises: an inspection passage through which a moving object under inspection can pass, a radiation source disposed on a side of the inspection passage for emitting radiation, an array of detectors disposed on the other side of the inspection passage opposite to the radiation source for receiving the radiation emitted from the radiation source, a detector for detecting the moving object, and a controller for receiving a signal from the detector and controlling the radiation source to emit radiation when the detector detects the moving object for radiation imaging and inspection of the moving object. According to the radiation inspection system, the controller can control the radiation source to automatically emit radiation beam based on the detection signal from the detector for inspecting the moving object. As a result, inspection efficiency is improved, safety is increased, and misoperation of the radiation source is eliminated.

The system according to the present invention comprises a moveable scanning apparatus formed by a scanning frame and a remote control device, wherein the scanning frame comprises a radiation source and some detectors, wherein the radiation source or an apparatus cabin wherein the radiation source is disposed is connected with an L-shaped cantilever structure to form a door-type scanning frame, wherein beneath the radiation source or the apparatus cabin wherein the radiation source is disposed are provided with rollers that can reciprocatingly move on rails and are controlled by drive means. The detectors are disposed in a cross beam and a vertical beam of the cantilever structure of the door-type scanning frame. Rays of the radiation source are right in alignment with rows of detectors in the cantilever structure. The container truck to be inspected can pass through the door-like frame formed by the door-type scanning frame. Due to the cantilever structure, the inspection system is advantageous in stable operation, good-quality images, and high reliability.

The present invention discloses a pulling device for a container inspection system including a pulling vehicle (1) arranged inside an inspection passage, a winch (5) and wire tension mechanisms (6,6′). Front and rear ends of the pulling vehicle are connected to a wire rope so as to drive the pulling vehicle to move back and forth inside the inspection passage. The wire rope connected to front and rear ends of the pulling vehicle is wound around a wire tension mechanism arranged at front and rear ends of the inspection passage and is turned around by a swerving pulley (2) which is positioned at the same horizontal plane as that of the wire rope, the pulling vehicle, and the wire tension mechanisms, then the wire rope passes through the vertical pulley block, and finally it is connected to a single winding drum (4) of the winch (5) and wound around the single winding drum (4) respectively. Compared with the prior arts, the present invention is advantageous in reduction in equipment investment and decrease in area occupied by the pulling device. Further, the inspection operation can be carried out more reliably and safely.
