    Abstract: A game system includes a game device used by first and second users and a controller. The game device includes: an association section associating the controller with the first user using the controller; a first process executing section executing a process of a general-purpose function in accordance with first operating information acquired from the controller when the general-purpose function, not associated with the users, executes; and a second process executing section executing a process of a first user function in accordance with second operating information acquired from the controller when the first user function, associated with the first user, executes. The controller includes: first and second operating members associated with the first and second operating information, respectively; an operation receiving section receiving an operation on the operating member; and an operating information outputting section outputting the operating information associated with the operation on operating member to the game device.

    Abstract: Foveated rendering based on user gaze tracking may be adjusted to account for the realities of human vision. Gaze tracking error and state parameters may be determined from gaze tracking data representing a user's gaze with respect to one or more images presented to a user. Adjusted foveation data representing an adjusted size and/or shape of one or more regions of interest in one or more images to be subsequently presented to a user may be generated based on the one or more gaze tracking error or state parameters. Foveated image data representing one or more foveated images may be generated with the adjusted foveation data. The foveated images are characterized by level of detail within the one or more regions of interest and lower level of detail outside the one or more regions of interest. The foveated images may then be presented to the user.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is an image processor including: a depth image acquisition portion adapted to acquire a depth image for an image frame making up the movie, the depth image representing, as a pixel value on an image plane, a subject distance from an imaging device; an edge extraction portion adapted to generate an edge image for the image frame and identify a picture area of a tracked target in the depth image on the basis of an outline of the tracked target represented by tracking results for the image frame at a previous time so as to extract an edge in an area limited on the basis of the picture area; and a tracking section adapted to compare the extracted edge against an outline candidate for the tracked target to find a likelihood so as to estimate the outline of the tracked target and output the outline as tracking results.
