摘要: A diagnostic method for a production line. The production line is in accordance with a ladder program, which is prepared on the basis of a map describing the operations of equipment composed of a plurality of drive devices. The method comprises the steps of: storing reference operation times necessary for executing the respective operations of the program elements of the ladder program; comparing the time it has actually taken a change to take place in the ON/OFF condition of each of confirmation devices for confirming the operations of the drive devices with the corresponding reference operation time; and locating, on the basis of the results of this comparison, any malfunctioning point of the production line.

摘要: A method of simulating a sequential control program by composing simulation ladder program elements with timer elements which correspond to the ladder program elements of the sequential control program. If the operations of a plurality of operation steps are performed in parallel with each other, a time chart is prepared by considering the parallel relationships between the operation steps, and simulation elements are thereafter formed in execution order in accordance with the timing chart.

摘要: A door assembling apparatus for use in automobile assembly having a door transport unit for conveying a door and for maintaining a hinge member of a vehicle body and a corresponding hinge member of a door loosely engaged with each other, a hinge-pin attaching unit for inserting a gib-headed hinge pin through the engaged hinge members, and a stopper for receiving a leading end of the hinge pin as being projected from and through the engaged hinge members. The leading end of the hinge pin increases in diameter through plastic deformation thereof by the contact with the stopper, and this increased diameter effectively prevents disengagement of the pin from the hinge members. With these features, the anti-disengagement operation can be effected very efficiently and conveniently through the plastic deformation of the leading end of the pin which is realized by effectively utilizing the original function of the hinge-pin attaching means, i.e. the function for causing the hinge pin to enter the hinge members. Thus, construction can be formed very simply and economically without requiring special parts.

摘要: An apparatus for fitting proper sizes of balance weights to the inner and outer rims of a wheel at proper positions. The apparatus includes a wheel balance measuring station and a balance weight fitting station arranged side by side. In the balance weight measuring station, the wheel is measured to detect unbalance of the wheel so as to determine sizes of balance weights to be fitted to the rims and positions at which the balance weights are fitted. According to the determination, weight size signals and position signals are provided and sent to the balance weight fitting station. In the balance weight fitting station, upper and lower balance weight handling devices electromagnetically pick up the determined sizes of balance weights among various sizes of balance weights supplied by upper and lower balance weight supplying devices according to the weight size signals; and upper and lower balance weight fitting devices receive the electromagnetically picked up balance weights and bring them above and below the outer and inner rims of the wheel, respectively, according to the position signals. The upper balance weight fitting device descends to fit the determined size of balance weight to the outer rim edge of the wheel at the determined position. On the other hand, the lower balance weight fitting device turns upside down and then ascends to fit the determined size of balance weight to the inner rim edge of the wheel, thereby finishing the fitting of the balance weights to the wheel.
