Abstract: Presented herein are methodologies for managing a citizens broadband radio service (CBRS) network. The methodology includes receiving, at an enterprise controller, measurement information from a first user equipment (UE) and a second UE, wherein the first UE and the second UE operate in a citizens broadband radio service (CBRS) network; selecting, at the enterprise controller, an information aggregation level based on a predetermined level of privacy associated with the first UE and the second UE; aggregating, at the enterprise controller, the measurement information from the first UE and the second UE in accordance with the information aggregation level to obtain aggregated measurement information; and sending, by the enterprise controller, the aggregated measurement information to a Spectrum Access System that controls allocation of resources in the CBRS network for the first UE and the second UE.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for improving resource management in Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) networks include a Spectrum Access System (SAS) in coordination with one or more CBRS devices (CBSDs) and a Digital Network Architecture center (DNA-C). Resource allocation decisions can be based on one or more policies such as a priority, a preemption capability index and/or a preemption vulnerability index associated with the CBSDs. Resource allocation can also be based on inter-access point (AP) coordination between two or more CBSDs and comparative performance indicators of the two or more CBSDs. Managing interference between two or more groups of CBSDs can be based on the inter-AP coordination and group identifiers associated with the two or more groups. Bandwidth allocation can be modified to the two or more CBSDs and seamless transition can be implemented using timers.

Abstract: Methods are provided for generating an enterprise key for access to an enterprise network via another access network, as part of a secondary authentication to an external data network through another access network. In these methods, an enterprise authentication device obtains, via a first access network, a request to authenticate a user device onto an enterprise network. The user device is connected to the first access network. The method further includes the enterprise authentication device authenticating the user device to obtain access to the enterprise network via the first access network and generating the enterprise key for the user device to provide access to the enterprise network via a second access network.

Efficient authentication and secure communications in private communication systems having non-3GPP and 3GPP access

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may be in coverage of a local private non-Third Generation Partnership Project (non-3GPP) wireless network (e.g. a Wi-Fi network) of an enterprise. This non-3GPP wireless network may be part of a private communication system of the enterprise which further includes a local private 3GPP network (e.g. a Long-Term Evolution or “LTE” based network). When the non-3GPP wireless network advertises “single-authentication” support, the UE may complete authentication for non-3GPP access, obtain a Master Session Key (MSK) from the authentication, and generate an Access Security Management Entity (ASME) key (KASME) based on the MSK. In further implementations, the UE may obtain a Globally Unique Temporary Identifier (GUTI) from the non-3GPP wireless network. Subsequently, the UE may perform an attach procedure with the local private 3GPP network without performing an authentication procedure, presenting the GUTI that it obtained from the non-3GPP wireless network for 3GPP access.

Abstract: An example method is provided and may include configuring a Home Node B (HNB) with a plurality of Radio Network Controller (RNC) identifiers (IDs), wherein each global RNC ID is associated with one of a plurality of HNB gateways (HNB-GWs); broadcasting a first UTRAN cell ID (UC-ID) by the HNB when the HNB is served by a first HNB-GW; and switching the broadcasting from the first UC-ID to a second UC-ID and re-parenting the HNB to a second HNB-GW, when the HNB loses connectivity with the first HNB-GW. In at least one case, the method can further include identifying, when the HNB loses connectivity with the first HNB-GW and prior to the re-parenting, the second HNB-GW from the plurality of HNB gateways based on a weight factor assigned to the second HNB-GW.

Abstract: An example method is provided and may include steps of configuring a HeNB with plurality of global eNode B identities (global eNB IDs), where each global eNB ID is associated with one of a plurality of HeNB gateways (HeNB-GWs), and broadcasting a first global eNB ID by the HeNB when the HeNB is served by a first HeNB-GW. When/if the HeNB loses connectivity with the first HeNB-GW, the method provides a step of switching the broadcasting from the first global eNB ID to a second global eNB ID and re-parenting the HeNB, now broadcasting or is configured to start/continue broadcasting the second global eNB ID, from being served by the first HeNB-GW to being served by a second HeNB-GW.
