Abstract: A syringe adapter includes a female connector, a body in fluid communication with the female connector, a male connector in fluid communication with the female connector and the body, a passage extending radially through the body and a cannula extending axially through the body and out through the female connector, a first end of the cannula fluidly coupled to an end of the passage disposed within the body. A filter housing containing a filter is fluidly coupled to an end of the passage that is exterior to the body, the filter housing terminating in a vent that is fluidly coupled to the passage. A first fluid path is formed through the cannula, the passage and the vent, and a second fluid path is formed through the female connector, the body, and the male connector, wherein a closed system is provided when the male connector is uncoupled from the medical device.

Abstract: A needleless connector includes a housing having a central longitudinal axis, a body portion, and a base portion. Abstract: A fluid delivery Y-site is described that is configured to receive and control delivery of two or more fluid flows. Fluid flow is controlled within a chamber by a valve and float. Flow of a primary fluid into the chamber is reduced or halted by the movement of a valve. The valve may occlude a first flow port into the chamber in response fluid flowing from a second flow port into the chamber. A float is moveably disposed within the chamber and configured to engage the valve in response a fluid flow into the chamber from the second flow port. As fluid flow from the second flow port into the chamber is reduced or ceases, the valve and float allow the flow from the first flow port to once again enter the chamber and exit from an outlet port.

Abstract: Drip chambers are described herein. A drip chamber comprises an inlet, an outlet, and a chamber body. The chamber body defines a chamber volume in fluid communication with the inlet and the outlet. The chamber body is movable between a collapsed configuration having a first volume and an expanded configuration having a second volume. The second volume is larger than the first volume, and the chamber body is configured to be moved from the collapsed configuration to the expanded configuration to draw in a medical fluid from the inlet into the chamber volume to prime the drip chamber.

Abstract: Systems and methods of micro-infusion of medical fluids are disclosed. Micro-infusion systems may include a pump, a patient interface, tubing between the pump and the interface, and a micro-infusion device along the tubing. A first portion of the tubing above the micro-infusion device is longer than a second portion of the tubing below the device. The micro-infusion device may include a chamber in-line with the tubing, a first valve between the chamber and the first portion of the tubing, a second valve between the chamber and the second portion of the tubing and a third valve between the chamber and a dump chamber. The second valve may be slidably disposed within the chamber. A medical fluid may be provided into the chamber that slides the second valve displacing another fluid in the chamber through the third valve into the dump chamber.
