    摘要: Oral hygiene and dental care compositions which contain an alkyl ether sulfate mixture corresponding to formula IR.sup.1 --O--(C.sub.2 H.sub.4 O).sub.x --SO.sub.3 M (I)in which R.sup.1 is a linear alkyl group containing 12 to 18 carbon atoms, M is an alkali metal or magnesium ion, and x has an average value of 2 to 10, and wherein at least 50% by weight of the mixture consists of homologs with x-1 to x+1 glycol ether groups, and the content of alkyl sulfates in which x=0 is below 10% by weight.The invention also relates to dry powders containing the above alkyl ether sulfate mixture.

    摘要: Disclosed are derivatives of isosorbide having formula (1) wherein R′ and R″ represent hydrogen or a polymeric ether moiety (CH2—CHR1—O)x—H, where R1 represents hydrogen, or an alkyl or alkenyl moiety having 1 to 33 carbon atoms, which is saturated or unsaturated, branched or linear. This polymeric ether moiety can be a homopolymer or a copolymer, with x being the total degree of polymerization (DP). Preferred is a block copolymer composed of monomer A (DP=a), preferably ethylene oxide or propylene oxide, and monomer B (DP=b), preferably a saturated or unsaturated, branched or linear alkyl or alkenyl moiety having 1 to 33 carbon atoms, where x=a+b. x is a number from 0 to 50, with the proviso that R′ and R″ are not both hydrogen. The isosorbide derivatives are useful as components of detergent, cleanser, cosmetic and agricultural compositions.

    摘要: Acylamino acids are made by a process which comprises the steps of: (1) introducing a mixture comprised of at least one amino acid or amino acid salt and an alkali source into a reaction zone; (2) adding a mixture comprised of a fatty acid halide of the formula (I): R1COX  (I) wherein R1 is an alkyl or alkenyl group having from 6 to 22 carbon atoms and X is chlorine, bromine or iodine to form a reaction mixture while continuously circulating the reaction mixture from the reaction zone through a mixing zone until all of the second mixture has been added to the reaction zone. The process guarantees uniform mixing of the reaction components without the foaming observed without the use of a mixing zone.
