    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preparing silicon-containing heterocycles of the general formula (I) wherein R1 is hydrogen; R2 and R3 are same or different and are, independently from one another, selected from a linear or branched, substituted or unsubstituted C1-C20 alkyl or C6-C18 aryl residue which may be interrupted by at least one heteroatom; R4 is selected from a linear or branched C1-C20 alkylene residue which may be interrupted by at least one heteroatom; R5 and R6 are same or different and are, independently from one another, selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, a linear or branched, substituted or unsubstituted C1-C20 alkyl or C6-C18 aryl which may be interrupted by at least one heteroatom, and a C4-C8 cycloalkyl, or R5 and R6 may form a ring, a 4- to 8-membered alkyl ring; and n is 0, 1 or 2, 2, said method comprising a one-step reaction of at least one epoxide compound of the general formula (II) and at least one aminoalkoxysilane having a primary amino group in the presence of a catalyst wherein R5 and R6 are the same as defined for the general formula (I) above; as well as the use of the silicon-containing heterocycles of the general formula (I).

    Abstract: The invention relates to a curable composition comprising a) at least one polymer having at least one terminal group of the general formula (I) -An-R—SiXYZ  (I), wherein A is a divalent bonding group containing at least one heteroatom, R is selected from divalent hydrocarbon residues having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, X, Y, Z are, independently of one another, selected from the group consisting of a hydroxyl group and C1 to C8 alkyl, C1 to C8 alkoxy, and C1 to C8 acyloxy groups, wherein X, Y, Z are substituents directly bound with the Si atom or the two of the substituents X, Y, Z form a ring together with the Si atom to which they are bound, and at least one of the substituents X, Y, Z is selected from the group consisting of a hydroxyl group, C1 to C8 alkoxy or C1 to C8 acyloxy groups, and n is 0 or 1; and b) at least one compound of the general formula (II) wherein R′ is same or different and is, independently from one another, selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom and hydrocarbon residues having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, and Ar is selected from aryl groups, and adhesive, sealant, or coating materials comprising the composition and use thereof.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses silylated polyurethanes obtainable by reacting at least one polyols, at least one polyisocyanates, at least one silicon-containing heterocycle of the general formula (I): wherein R1 is hydrogen; R2 and R3 are same or different and are, independently from one another, selected from a linear or branched, substituted or unsubstituted C1-C20 alkyl or C6-C18 aryl residue which may be interrupted by at least one heteroatom; R4 is selected from a linear or branched, substituted or unsubstituted C1-C20 alkylene residue which may be interrupted by at least one heteroatom; R5 and R6 are same or different and are, independently from one another, selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, a linear or branched, substituted or unsubstituted C1-C20 alkyl or C6-C18 aryl which may be interrupted by at least one heteroatom, and a C4-C8 cycloalkyl, or R5 and R6 may form a ring, preferably a 4- to 8-membered alkyl ring; and n is 0, 1 or 2, their preparation methods, curable compositions comprising the silylated polyurethanes, and their use as adhesive, sealant, spray foam and/or coating.

    Abstract: A method for producing a silylated polyurethane that comprises the following steps: (1) reacting at least one polyether polyol having a number average molecular weight of at least 2,000 g/mol with at least one polyisocyanate in the presence of at least one solvent; (2) reacting the reaction product of step (1) with at least one silane of formula (I) A-R—SiXYZ (I), where A means —NH2 or —NHB, wherein B stands for a branched or linear alkyl radical with 1-12 C atoms, possibly having functional groups, a cyclic alkyl radical having 5-8 C atoms, or an aryl radical, R is a divalent hydrocarbon radical having 1-12 C atoms, and X, Y, Z are substituents on the Si atom and are independently of each other C1-C8 alkyl, C1-C8 alkoxy or C1-C8 acyloxy groups, wherein at least one of radicals X, Y, Z is a C1-C8 alkoxy or C1-C8 acyloxy group, in the presence of at least one solvent. Further disclosed is a silylated polyurethane that can be produced by the method, a curable composition based thereon, and the use of such a composition as an adhesive, sealant and/or coating material.
