A wearable apparatus that pairs with a user is described herein. The apparatus includes a processor and a memory. The memory includes code that causes the processor to capture a representation of a identifying feature on a user. The representation is associated with the wearable apparatus. A representation of a wearer of the wearable apparatus is captured. The wearer is authorized to use the wearable apparatus if the representation of the identifying feature matches the representation of the wearer. The wearer is prevented from using the wearable apparatus if there is no match.

Methods, apparatus, systems are disclosed for altering displayed content on a display device responsive to a user's proximity. In accord with an example, a computing system includes a display, a sensor to output a signal, machine readable instructions, and programmable circuitry to be programmed in accordance with the instructions to determine a distance between the compute system and a person based on the signal, and cause a size of at least one object to be presented on the display to be adjusted based on the distance.

In an example, a mobile computing device is provided with mechanical driver s for enhancing audio output, including low-frequency audio. The mechanical drivers may be provided to supplement traditional speakers. In an embodiment, mechanical drivers are boosted in effectiveness by being disposed against a sturdy surface such as a desktop. When a user holds a convertible tablet up, such enhancement may be provided by enabling mechanical drivers that are disposed against a base or other structural member of the convertible tablet.

The apparatus includes logic, at least partially including hardware logic, to detect that a blow input received by the apparatus is from a human breath. A characteristic of the blow input is identified. An active application is determined to be running on the apparatus. The blow input is translated to an instruction based on the characteristic and the active application. The instruction is transmitted to the active application.

Embodiments are generally directed to a camera to capture multiple sub-images for the generation of an image. An embodiment of a camera assembly includes one or more lenses to transmit light from a scene, and an image sensor to simultaneously capture a plurality of sub-images of the scene via the one or more lenses, the plurality of sub-images including a first sub-image and a second sub-image. A processing element is to process the sub-images sensed by the image sensor, the processing of the sub-images includes combining at least the first sub-image and the second sub-image to generate a combined image of the scene.

Methods and apparatus relating to a location aware power management scheme for an always-on-always-listen voice recognition system are described. In an embodiment, logic performs ambient noise trigger level analysis for a location and causes storage of an ambient noise trigger level threshold value for the location based on the ambient noise trigger level analysis. Furthermore, logic determines whether to cause modification to a state of an audio processor in response to detection of the audio processor at the location and comparison of a detected sound level at the location and the stored ambient noise trigger level threshold value.
