    摘要: A detector receiver circuit for use as a wake-up detector for detecting an amplitude modulated carrier signal includes an antenna for receiving the modulated carrier signal; and a transistor, such as an FET, which is connected to the antenna and configured to operate as a detector of modulation of the carrier frequency. The circuit further comprises a resonator circuit which is also connected to the transistor and configured such that the transistor can simultaneously oscillate at substantially the modulation frequency; and an oscillator quenching circuit for periodically quenching oscillation of the transistor. The characteristics of the build-up of oscillation are sensed to indicate the presence of a modulated carrier signal. How quickly the magnitude of oscillation of the transistor builds up is dependent on whether the antenna is receiving a carrier signal which is modulated at the frequency of self-oscillation of the transistor, which is utilized to detect for the presence of a valid wake-up signal.

    摘要: A reflector circuit is provided which responds to illuminating radiation with corresponding output radiation of increased magnitude relative to the illuminating radiation, while also providing a frequency selective limiting characteristic. The circuit comprises an antenna for receiving the illuminating radiation and emitting the corresponding output radiation, a delay line providing a frequency selective limiting and signal storage characteristic and an amplifier assembly. The antenna provides an input signal upon receipt of the illuminating radiation, a portion of which is amplified, frequency selectively filtered and then stored for a period after which it is emitted as the output radiation from the circuit. Switches are incorporated and are operable to counteract spontaneous oscillation within the circuit.

    摘要: A detector receiver circuit (2) for use as a wake-up detector for detecting an amplitude modulated carrier signal is described. The circuit (2) comprises: an antenna (4) for receiving the modulated carrier signal; a transistor (10), such as an FET, is connected to the antenna (4) and configured to operate as a detector of modulation of the carrier frequency. The circuit further comprises a resonator circuit (12-16) which is also connected to the transistor and configured such that the transistor (10) can simultaneously oscillate at substantially the modulation frequency; an oscillator quenching means (20) for periodically quenching oscillation of the transistor (10) and means (26, 28, 30) for sensing the characteristics of the build-up of oscillation to indicate the presence of a modulated carrier signal. How quickly the magnitude of oscillation of the transistor (10) builds up is dependent on whether the antenna is receiving a carrier signal which is modulated at the frequency of self-oscillation of the transistor and this is utilized to detect for the presence of a valid wake-up signal.

    摘要: A modulator circuit comprises a negative impedance amplifier which is operable such that a signal applied to the amplifier is reflected and amplified. Switching means are provided for switching the impedance of the amplifier between two reflecting states such that the reflected and amplified signal is phase modulated. The impedances of the negative impedance amplifier are selected such that the phase of the reflected and amplified signal in the first reflecting state differs substantially from the phase of the reflected and amplified signal in a second reflecting state. For example, the phase switches by substantially 180 degrees. Preferably the impedances of the negative impedance amplifier in the two reflecting states are selected such that the reflection gain of the amplifier in the two reflecting states is substantially the same such that the reflected and amplified signal is a binary phase shift keyed.
