    摘要: The present invention relates to a wireless communication device, such as a transponder, that has a plurality of antennas for multi-frequency usage. The wireless communication device comprises a control system, communication electronics, memory, and the aforementioned antennas. A wireless communication device having a pole antenna may be used with one or more loop conductor antennas to achieve the desired operating frequencies. A wireless communication device having a dipole antenna may be coupled across a loop conductor antenna to provide different loop conductor configurations depending on the frequency.

    摘要: A wireless communication device that is attached or included in an electronic object, such as a portable computer, having its own separate communication system. The separate communication system has an antenna for receiving and transmitting wireless communications, and is powered by a power supply included in the object. Since the separate communication system can only communicate when powered, a separate passive wireless communication device is provided for wireless communication that does not require power from the power supply to communicate. The wireless communication device is interfaced with the existing antenna of the separate communication system so that the wireless communication device and separate communication system share a common antenna to reduce cost. The antenna may also be interconnected to a controller associated with the object so that the controller can directly communicate to the wireless communication device.

    摘要: The wireless communication device contains at least one conductive tab that provides an antenna. The tab(s) form a pole antenna, and the tabs may also be attached across a slot to form a slot antenna. The tab(s) may be attached across a slot created in a package to form a slot antenna, or the tab(s) may be attached to a slot that is created as part of the wireless communication device to form a slot antenna. The tab(s) and/or the slot may also contain an adhesive material to attach the wireless communication device to a package, container or other material. More than one slot may be provided to form a circularly polarized antenna. The carrier may be a conductive material in which tabs are formed as part of the carrier before the wireless communication device is attached. The wireless communication device may have an asymmetrical antenna arrangement.

    摘要: A piezo-electric tag in the form of a card has a first dipole antenna, a first rectification circuit, a piezo-electric transformer, a second rectification circuit, and a transponder circuit. In operation, the antenna receives incoming radiation and generates a corresponding signal which propagates to the first circuit which demodulates and filters it to generate a signal which is applied to the transformer to excite it. The transformer increases the voltage amplitude of the signal by generating a relatively higher voltage amplitude signal which is used in the tag to generate a signal for supplying power to the transponder. The transformer provides voltage magnitude enhancement to generate potentials suitable for operating active electronic circuits incorporated into the tag. The tag can be personnel wearable and even adapted for permanent inclusion into biological systems.

    摘要: An amplifier circuit for amplifying an input signal to generate an amplifier output signal incorporates a cascaded series of reflection amplifiers arranged along a signal path and operative to amplify signals propagating in a forward direction along the signal path. The circuit is operative to counteract signal propagation in a reverse direction along the signal path, thereby hindering spontaneous oscillation from arising within the circuit. Incorporation of reflection amplifiers into the circuit enables it to provide high gain, for example 50 dB, while consuming low currents, for example, tens of microamperes. The circuit is especially suitable for use at intermediate frequencies in radio receivers such as mobile telephones.

    摘要: The invention provides a memory device (10) operable to receive an input signal and to generate a corresponding data bearing output signal in response, the device including a series of circuit stages (200) operable to be triggered by the input signal at a first stage of the series (stage 1) thereby causing a sequential triggering of stages along the series to a last stage of the series to generate the output signal, the data represented in time durations taken for each stage in the series to trigger a subsequent stage in the series. Sequential triggering of the stages generates a data bearing output signal for output from the device (10). The device (10, 800) can be modified to repetitively output the data in response to the input signal. Moreover, the device (900, 940) can be adapted to provide a delay before repeating the data, thereby coping with contention when several of the devices (900, 940) are operating within range of one another.
