摘要： An evaporator chamber for mixing water vapor with respiratory gas has a supply opening for the respiratory gas, an inlet opening for the water vapor and an outlet opening for the humidified respiratory gas. With the evaporator chamber, an excellent mixing is achieved with the smallest possible structural volume. The evaporator chamber is configured as a hollow body (1) having an essentially circularly-shaped inner wall surface (5). The supply opening (4) on the upper end of the hollow body (1) is arranged in a manner which conducts in the respiratory gas essentially tangentially to the inner wall surface (5). The outlet opening (6) is located at the lower end of the hollow body (1) and the inlet opening (9) lies between the supply opening (4) and the outlet opening (6).

摘要： A process and system is provided for regulating the air temperature in an incubator (3), which accommodates a patient, especially a premature or newborn infant, and which is part of a so-called hybrid device. When the function of the hybrid device is changed over between the two device types of “closed incubator” and “open care unit,” the problem arises that the air temperature set point cannot be maintained and the patient cools down as a consequence. The process uses a heat radiation source (1), which is located outside the incubator (3), which can be closed with a hood (2) that is transparent to the radiated heat. The corresponding value measured by an air temperature sensor (5), which is used as an actual air temperature value, is evaluated by an evaluating and control unit (4) along with a value measured by a body temperature sensor (7). When the actual values that continue to be measured by the air temperature sensor (5) exceed a preset set point, the radiation dose of the heat radiation source (1) is reduced, and increased in the contrary case, until the preset set point and the actual value of the air temperature sensor (5) agree.

摘要： In incubator 1 for tomographic examinations includes a patient section 2 and a supply section 3 which extends from the patient section 2. The patient section includes a cylindrically-shaped double wall section made of transparent plastic. The supply section 3 includes a venturi nozzle 13 which functions to generate a difference pressure and simultaneously supplies air and oxygen. The supply section 3 also includes a heater 14 which is preferably combined with an air humidifier 15 outputting water vapor as well as input and output openings to and from the patient section 2 to ensure a circulating air and oxygen supply in the incubator 1 while at the same time emitting a gas portion to the ambient through openings 20.

摘要： The invention is directed to a method for controlling the operating parameters of an incubator influencing the thermal metabolism of an infant placed in the incubator. The method provides that the control takes place based on the complete defined thermal metabolism of the infant. For this purpose, at least two of four temperature sensors are present for different temperature zones referred to the body of the patient, namely, a sensor for the measurement of the temperature of the main organs, for the measurement of the skin temperature, for the measurement of the temperature of the periphery of the body and for the measurement of the ambient temperature. The output values of the sensors are supplied to a data processing unit which contains a first multi-dimensional table. This table includes table elements comprising condition desired values determined from experience. From the first table and after inputting of selected variables referred to the infant, a matrix is determined for the infant special condition desired values for the different temperature zones and from a comparison to a second multi-dimensional table, the infant is defined in its thermal condition in data called up from a decision matrix. The second multi-dimensional table contains the tolerances for the description of the different temperature conditions (for example, too cold, normal, too warm and the like).
