Abstract: A heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system is provided. The HVAC system includes a non-transitory computer readable medium that includes instructions that are configured to cause a processor to generate a custom application for an HVAC unit in response to an inquiry regarding the HVAC unit. The custom application comprises a custom sequence of equipment operation of the HVAC unit, and the custom application is configured to regulate operation of components of the HVAC unit. Moreover, the custom application comprises operating parameters and control parameters associated with the HVAC unit.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication cable for a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system having a set of conductors extending between a first end of the communication cable and a second end of the communication cable, and a cable shield surrounding the plurality of conductors. The cable shield has a first shield connector at the first end of the communication cable and a second shield connector at the second end of the communication cable. The first end is configured to couple to a first controller of the HVAC system, the second end is configured to couple to a second controller of the HVAC system, and the cable shield is configured to electrically couple to a single electrical ground point via one or both of the first and second shield connectors.

Abstract: An equipment controller in a building management system (BMS) includes a feature detector and a dynamic point list generator. The feature detector is configured to receive sensor input from a sensor and determine a set of features available to the equipment controller based on the sensor input. The dynamic point list generator is configured to determine unavailable features based on the set of available features and identify one or more points in a complete point list associated with the set of unavailable features. The dynamic point list generator is configured to generate a dynamic point list by removing the identified points from the complete point list and expose the dynamic point list to a BMS controller communicably connected to the equipment controller.

Abstract: In an embodiment of the present disclosure, a method for determining power consumption of a unit of a heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes providing conditioned air to the unit from an HVAC unit of the HVAC system. The method also includes receiving power data indicative of a total power consumed by the HVAC unit, receiving airflow data indicative of a rate of the conditioned air received by the unit from the HVAC unit, determining a power consumption of the unit based on the power data and the airflow data, and outputting the power consumption of the unit.
