    摘要： Development of silver halide photosensitive material with a developer containing a developing agent and a free sulfite is accompanied by deposition of silver sludge. Silver sludge is effectively suppressed by adding to the developer (a) a six-membered heterocyclic compound which has a six-membered ring containing two nitrogen atoms and has a mercapto group, a hydroxyl group and one or two substituents having 2 to 20 carbon atoms in total or (a') a six-membered heterocyclic compound which has a six-membered ring containing three nitrogen atoms and has a mercapto group and a hydroxyl group.

    摘要： An improvement of a high density pneumatic transport system for pneumatically transporting powdered or granular materials placed in an airtight storage container to a collector through a transport pipe having a vertical riser pipe intermediately thereof by the use of pressurized gas. The transport pipe comprises a lower horizontal pipe being connected to the airtight storage container and having a convergent cylindrical accelerating reducer, an upper horizontal pipe being connected to the collector and having a divergent cylindrical decelerating reducer at its initial end, and a vertical riser pipe which connects the lower horizontal pipe to the upper horizontal pipe. The vertical riser pipe is provided at intermediate thereof up and down with an acceleration regulating reducer having a convergent accelerating portion above its bottom having a constricted portion and a divergent cylindrical decelerating reducer.

    摘要： A toner cartridge with a cartridge body having a toner supply opening, a seal member, having a folded part, for closing the toner supply opening with a portion between the folded part and an end, and a rolling mechanism for rolling up the seal member from the end which is free of the closing of the toner supply opening. Both side ends of the seal member near the rolling mechanism are different in length between the folded part and the rolling mechanism. Another toner cartridge has a plurality of seal members which have different length. The toner cartridges may have a pressing member for pressing the outer surface of the seal member rolled up by the rolling mechanism. These toner cartridges can be applied to a developing unit in a copying machine.

    摘要： An electrostatic copying method of the transfer type which comprises repeatedly performing a copying cycle including an image-forming step of forming a latent electrostatic image on a photosensitive material moved through an endless moving path or a toner image obtained by developing it, a transfer step of transferring the latent electrostatic image or the toner image on the photosensitive material to a receptor member subsequent to the image-forming step, and a cleaning step of cleaning the photosensitive material subsequent to the transfer step. When the width or length of a receptor member to be used in the next copying cycle is found to be larger than the width or length of a receptor member used in the preceding copying cycle as a result of comparison of at least one of the width and length of the receptor member to be used in the next copying cycle respectively with at least one of the width and length of the receptor member used in the preceding copying cycle, the above cleaning step is additionally performed after the end of the preceding copying cycle before the next copying cycle is started.
