摘要: A battery block for use in a power source system including battery blocks is provided with: a secondary battery; a communication circuit which outputs voltage information outside, the voltage information relating to a terminal voltage Vt of the secondary battery; a communication circuit which acquires the voltage information output from another battery block as other voltage information; and a discharge controller which discharges the secondary battery in a host battery block when a host voltage, which is the terminal voltage Vt of the secondary battery in the host battery block, is higher than a terminal voltage indicated by the other voltage information.

摘要: An optical disc apparatus includes: a converging section for converging a light beam and irradiating a rotating information medium with the converged light beam; a moving section for moving the converging section, thereby moving a converging point of the converged light beam in a direction perpendicular to an information surface of the information medium; a converging state detection section for generating a focus servo signal which represents a converging state of the light beam on the information medium based on reflected light or transmitted light of the light beam from the information medium; a focus servo control section for controlling the moving section based on the focus servo signal, so that the light beam reaches a predetermined converging state on the information medium; and a focus pull-in section for turning ON the control by the focus servo control section, wherein the focus pull-in section turns ON the control by the focus servo control section in a case where the focus pull-in section determines that the converging point of the light beam is located in the vicinity of the minimum velocity position on the information medium axial deviation.

摘要: A charged particle measuring apparatus discriminates the types of charged particles accurately and the energy precisely, measures high-energy charged particles precisely, and detects a failure of the apparatus to continue measurement in a mode corresponding to the failure. Outputs from first and second detectors are used as first and second addresses, respectively. The second detector includes a plurality of detectors. The output from a third detector is used as information about whether or not certain charged particles penetrate the second detector. The loss energy characteristics of charged particles to be measured are expressed in the first and second addresses. The number of times the charged particles are measured for loss energy are counted with respect to the addresses. When the series of detectors constituting the first, second, and third detectors suffers a failure, a measurement mode excluding any failed detector is employed to continue measurement.

摘要: An electro-optic sampling apparatus is provided to enable measurement on potentials of signals on the conductor of coaxial cable with high precision and with ease. Herein, an electric input connector inputs a measured electric signal, which is introduced to a conductive path such as a microstrip line. An electro-optic material (e.g., Bi12SiO20) that provides electro-optic effect such as Pockel's effect is fixed to a bare portion of the conductive path and is varied in birefringence ratio in response to strength of electric field caused by the conductive path through which the measured electric signal transmits. The conductive path is then terminated by a terminal device. Now, a laser beam is radiated toward the electro-optic material, wherein it is varied in polarization in response to variations of the birefringence ratio. Then, the laser beam is reflected by a dielectric mirror and is separated into two beams by a polarization beam splitter. Photodiodes are provided to convert the two beams to electric signals representing potentials. Thus, the apparatus measures voltage of the measured electric signal based on the electric signals.

摘要: The present invention relates to an electro-optic sampling oscilloscope. This electro-optic sampling oscilloscope carries out measurement of measured signal by using an optical pulse generated based on a timing signal generated from a timing generation circuit synchronous with a trigger signal, providing: a timing generation circuit comprising a fast ramp circuit that outputs a ramp waveform using said trigger signal as a trigger, a slow ramp circuit that increases stepwise and sequentially the output value according to said timing signal; a comparator circuit that compares the output of said fast ramp circuit and the output of said slow ramp circuit and outputs the results of this comparison; and a gate circuit that limits the output of said comparator circuit by closing a gate only when the output of said comparator circuit is unstable based on the input trigger signal and timing signal.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a semiconductor device, including the steps of: cooling a semiconductor wafer to a predetermined temperature, the semiconductor wafer being mounted on a stage provided with cooling means and having a thin oxide film on a surface thereof; supplying energy to gas containing hydrogen and water vapor to excite the gas into a plasma state; adding nitrogen fluoride downstream into a flow of the gas in the plasma state; and introducing a flow of the gas, including the nitrogen fluoride, to the semiconductor wafer to etch the thin oxide film while maintaining the semiconductor wafer at the predetermined temperature.

摘要: An optical disc device includes: a focus error signal generation section configured to generate a focus error signal based on reflected light from an optical disc; and a focus control section configured to generate a drive signal for focus control of an optical pickup from the focus error signal. The focus control section includes a filter adjustment portion configured to activate a filter adjustment signal when the absolute value of the focus error signal is equal to or more than an error threshold, a proportional term computing unit, an integral term computing unit configured to multiply the focus error signal by an integral gain and integrate the multiplied result, a differential term computing unit, and an adder configured to add up results of these computing units to be output as the drive signal. The integral term computing unit decreases the integral gain when the filter adjustment signal is active.
