    摘要: A charged particle measuring apparatus discriminates the types of charged particles accurately and the energy precisely, measures high-energy charged particles precisely, and detects a failure of the apparatus to continue measurement in a mode corresponding to the failure. Outputs from first and second detectors are used as first and second addresses, respectively. The second detector includes a plurality of detectors. The output from a third detector is used as information about whether or not certain charged particles penetrate the second detector. The loss energy characteristics of charged particles to be measured are expressed in the first and second addresses. The number of times the charged particles are measured for loss energy are counted with respect to the addresses. When the series of detectors constituting the first, second, and third detectors suffers a failure, a measurement mode excluding any failed detector is employed to continue measurement.

    摘要: An electro-optic sampling apparatus is provided to enable measurement on potentials of signals on the conductor of coaxial cable with high precision and with ease. Herein, an electric input connector inputs a measured electric signal, which is introduced to a conductive path such as a microstrip line. An electro-optic material (e.g., Bi12SiO20) that provides electro-optic effect such as Pockel's effect is fixed to a bare portion of the conductive path and is varied in birefringence ratio in response to strength of electric field caused by the conductive path through which the measured electric signal transmits. The conductive path is then terminated by a terminal device. Now, a laser beam is radiated toward the electro-optic material, wherein it is varied in polarization in response to variations of the birefringence ratio. Then, the laser beam is reflected by a dielectric mirror and is separated into two beams by a polarization beam splitter. Photodiodes are provided to convert the two beams to electric signals representing potentials. Thus, the apparatus measures voltage of the measured electric signal based on the electric signals.

This electro-optic sampling oscilloscope carries out measurement of measured signal by using an optical pulse generated based on a timing signal generated from a timing generation circuit synchronous with a trigger signal, providing: a timing generation circuit comprising a fast ramp circuit that outputs a ramp waveform using said trigger signal as a trigger, a slow ramp circuit that increases stepwise and sequentially the output value according to said timing signal; a comparator circuit that compares the output of said fast ramp circuit and the output of said slow ramp circuit and outputs the results of this comparison; and a gate circuit that limits the output of said comparator circuit by closing a gate only when the output of said comparator circuit is unstable based on the input trigger signal and timing signal.

    摘要: An optical disc device includes: a focus error signal generation section configured to generate a focus error signal based on reflected light from an optical disc; and a focus control section configured to generate a drive signal for focus control of an optical pickup from the focus error signal. The focus control section includes a filter adjustment portion configured to activate a filter adjustment signal when the absolute value of the focus error signal is equal to or more than an error threshold, a proportional term computing unit, an integral term computing unit configured to multiply the focus error signal by an integral gain and integrate the multiplied result, a differential term computing unit, and an adder configured to add up results of these computing units to be output as the drive signal. The integral term computing unit decreases the integral gain when the filter adjustment signal is active.
