摘要: A vehicle photosensing system includes a photosensor array that is disposed within the interior cabin of the vehicle and having a field of view forward through the windshield of the vehicle. The photosensing system further providing a control for either controlling operation of a vehicle headlight or monitoring a surface condition of the windshield of the vehicle. If controlling the vehicle headlight, preferably the control transitions the headlight from a first beam mode to a second beam mode in response to detection of a headlight and/or a taillight by the photosensor array within its forward field of view. If monitoring a surface condition of the windshield of the vehicle, the photosensing system operates the vehicle's windshield wiper system in response to a signal generated by the control.

摘要: A monitoring device for vehicles includes a housing, at least one electrochromic mirror glass arranged in the housing so as to have a front side facing an observer, and at least one camera. The at least one electrochromic mirror glass comprises a reflective layer that is reflective in the visible spectral range of light. The at least one camera is arranged behind the reflective layer in a viewing direction viewed from the front side. The at least one camera takes images through the reflective layer. The electrochromic mirror glass has an electrochromic layer and the reflective layer is arranged behind the electrochromic layer in the viewing direction.

摘要: A system apparatus, structure and method for controlling a plurality of variable reflectance mirrors (or mirror segments), including a rearview mirror and side view mirrors, which change their reflectance level in response to a plurality of drive voltages applied thereto, for an automotive vehicle. The system includes a light sensing device and a control circuit formed as a single VLSI CMOS circuit. The light sensing device comprises a photosensor array having a field of view encompassing a rear window area and at least a portion of at least one side window area of the vehicle. The logic and control circuit determines a background light signal from photosensor element signals generated by the photosensor elements in the photosensor array indicative of light levels incident on the photosensor elements. The circuit also determines a peak light signal in three different zones or sub-arrays of the photosensor array. The zones or sub-arrays may correspond to three mirrors or mirror segments. The peak light signals in each of the zones and a common background light signal are used to determine independent and separate control signals, which are then output to separate mirror drive circuits for independently controlling the reflectance level of the rearview mirror and the left and right side view mirrors, or alternatively the segments of a mirror.

The support body defines at least three fin members extending radially from a geometric center of the support body. Spaces between the radially extending fin members define at least three longitudinal grooves. At least three inlay members are coupled to the thermoplastic support body. Each inlay member is disposed within a respective longitudinal groove and extends from the tip end to the collar end.

摘要: A vehicle interior rearview mirror assembly (10) comprises an accessory (24), a reflective element (18) and a bezel (20). The mirror assembly may define portions of a pocket (23) that at least partially receives and secures the accessory therebetween when the reflective element is at least partially received in the bezel. The mirror assembly (110) may include a microphone (124) and an acoustic cover (126) positioned at least partially over one or more inlet ports (124j, 124k) of the microphone. The acoustic cover may include an outer air flow limiting layer (130b) that substantially limits air flow therethrough and a diffusing material (130a) that may space and support the outer layer from the inlet ports to substantially diffuse air flow that penetrates the outer layer. An acoustic barrier (132) may be positioned between a pair of inlet ports of the microphone to enhance the directivity of the microphone.

摘要: A hitch mounted forklift assembly includes a primary member that is insertable into a hitch receiver of a truck. A coupler is coupled to the primary member and the coupler is exposed when the primary member is positioned in the tow hitch. A lifting rail is provided that has a track gear integrated therein and a motor is coupled to the primary member. A drive gear is rotatably coupled to the motor and the drive gear engages the track gear in the lifting rail. The lifting rail is lifted upwardly or lowered downwardly by the drive gear when the motor rotates the drive gear. A cross member is coupled to the lifting rail and a plurality of tines is each from the cross member. The plurality of tines lifts and lowers a hay bale for transport.

The support structure comprises a primary transmissive area comprising a plurality of support members defining a plurality of apertures for radiation to pass through; a flange disposed around the periphery of the primary transmissive area having generally greater mechanical rigidity than the primary transmissive area; and a transition region disposed between, and contiguous with, the primary transmissive area and the flange; the transition region having generally greater mechanical rigidity than the primary transmissive area and generally lesser mechanical rigidity than the flange, thereby providing an intermediate rigidity transition between the dissimilar rigidities of the primary transmissive area and the flange. A radiation detection system comprises a sensor configured to detect radiation, disposed behind such an improved radiation window.

摘要: Among other things, a case forming system is provided. The system includes a conveyance apparatus for conveying case precursors along a conveyance path and a case set-up apparatus characterized by a case forming member. Upstream case precursors are conveyed along the conveyance path for operation thereupon by the case forming member. A case forming mandrel of a mandrel assembly is movably mounted in relation to the conveyance apparatus for continuous motion with respect thereto. The continuous motion is delimited by travel of the case forming mandrel between an upstream locus and a downstream locus of the conveyance path, and reversible extension of the case forming mandrel towards case precursors during travel between the upstream locus and the downstream locus of the conveyance path.
