摘要： A lead frame for LOC is provided which can reduce a variation in coverage of an insulating adhesive, permitting the fixation of a semiconductor chip and wire bonding to be stably performed. In a lead frame for LOC 10 wherein an insulating adhesive for fixing a semiconductor chip is applied to inner leads 11 in their semiconductor chip mounting region, a coverage regulating lead 14 is provided outside the semiconductor chip mounting region and adjacent to inner leads 11a, 11b located at the end of the semiconductor chip mounting region, permitting the insulting adhesive to be homogeneously applied to each of the inner leads 11 without creating any variation in coverage of the adhesive.

摘要： A process of producing a diffraction grating includes the steps of forming a coating layer on a first diffraction grating layer of a resin formed on a substrate without damaging the diffraction grating layer, removing a portion of the coating layer positioned on the first diffraction grating layer by etching to form a second diffraction grating layer of the coating layer having the reverse phase to that of the first diffraction grating layer, removing the first diffraction grating layer, and etching the substrate with a mask of the second diffraction grating layer, so that the diffraction grating having the reverse phase can be easily produced. When the first diffraction grating layer is left and both the first and second diffraction grating layers are used as a mask, the diffraction grating having a period half times as large as that of the first grating layer can be easily produced.

摘要： An abnormal noise detector for detecting abnormal noises resulting from a marred tooth surface in a gear of a gear unit is disclosed. A first embodiment of a detector comprises a microphone placed in the vicinity of a gear unit to be tested, a bandpass filter for filtering the output of the microphone so as to pass only an integral multiple of the fundamental frequency of noise due to meshing of the gears of the gear unit, a rectifier for rectifying the filtered output from the bandpass filter, a differentiator for differentiating with respect to time the DC output from the rectifier, a waveform shaper for shaping the output from the differentiator into pulses suitable for counting, and a pulse counter for quantifying the pulses in the output from the waveform shaper. A second embodiment comprises a microphone, a digital frequency analyzer, and a data monitoring computer responsive to the digital frequency analyzer for monitoring the output thereof.

摘要： A hydraulic transaxle includes a transaxle casing including an upper transaxle housing and a lower casing, hydrostatic transmission (“HST”), and an axle. The HST has a hydraulic pump and a hydraulic motor that are fluidly connected to each other. The hydraulic motor has a motor shaft that is drivingly connected to the axle through a reduction gear train that is disposed between the hydraulic pump and the axle. Reduction gear train has a gear shaft supported by the upper transaxle housing via a ball bearing. At least a part of the upper transaxle housing is formed by a gear top cover made of metal and covering the reduction gear train. Ball bearing is supported by the upper transaxle housing and the gear top cover.

A cam included in a rise and fall mechanism, which causes the expansion claw to rise and fall, includes: a fixed portion, of which a height position cannot be changed; a rise and fall portion, of which a height position can be changed; and a connection portion, which connects the fixed portion and the rise and fall portion so as to swing by following a rising and falling motion of the rise and fall portion.

摘要： Biocompatible intraocular implants include a steroid and an auxiliary agent, where the auxiliary agent is present in an amount sufficient to lessen the severity of at least one side effect compared to the use of an otherwise identical implant lacking said auxiliary agent. The steroid and the auxiliary agent may be present on the same intraocular implant or on different implants. The steroid and auxiliary agent may be associated with a biodegradable polymer matrix, such as a matrix of a two biodegradable polymers. Or, the steroid may be associated with a polymeric coating having one or more openings effective to permit the steroid to be released into an external environment. The implants containing the steroid and an auxiliary agent may be placed in an eye to treat one or more ocular conditions while reducing the side effects otherwise accompanying steroid use.
