    摘要: Projection television display tubes having an evacuated envelope (1) with a display window (4) which on its inside comprises a display screen (5) and in front of which a light permeable second window (6) is provided on its outside, a cooling liquid (16) flowing through the space (7) between the display window (4) and the second window (6) from at least one inlet aperture to at least one outlet aperture (17) namely by temperature differences in said cooling liquid. When in such a projection television display tube at the area of the windows (4, 6) and around the said space (7) a cooling jacket (8) is provided which comprises at least one duct (9) which transports the cooling liquid (6) from the outlet aperture(s) to the inlet aperture(s) of the said space, an effective cooling is obtained at a power between 12 and 25-30 W without external pipes or a heat exchanger. As a result of the circulation of the cooling liquid around the tube end at the area of the windows there is a good temperature compensation so that fewer stresses occur in the glass of the display tube.

    摘要: A display device having a rectangular display window with a major and a minor dimension, and a deflection unit producing a scanning line raster on a display screen on the inner surface of the display window, the scan lines extending in the minor direction. The inside surface of the display window has a major radius of curvature (R.sub.cmajor), a minor radius of curvature (R.sub.cminor), a diagonal dimension (D) and an aspect ration (A), which parameters are related by the formulas 1.1 A*R.sub.cminor. The display window is thereby very flat and scanning line raster distortion is reduced so that it is easily correctible by the deflection fields produced by the deflection unit.

    摘要: In a picture display device suitable for receiving and processing an incoming video signal which comprises horizontally scanned picture information and for displaying pictures which are composed of fields each of which comprises a given number of lines, a scanning section for generating line and field scanning signals for forming the lines and fields, respectively, is adapted to scan the lines in the vertical direction, a number of vertical lines constituting a field and the vertical line frequency being many times higher, at least 200 times, than the horizontal field frequency. A video signal processing section for processing the picture information which is present in the video signal comprises a scan direction transposition circuit for receiving the picture information and for sequentially assigning picture information to elements of the vertically scanned lines.

    摘要: In a device for measuring the cut-off wavelength of an interference filter for a projection television display tube, the interference filter and a bandpass filter are arranged one behind the other. The bandpass filter has a transmission characteristic with a cut-off wavelength which approximately coincides with the desired cut-off wavelength of the interference filter, but with a slope varying in the opposite direction. A white light beam generated in a light source is incident through the two filters. The intensity, which is measured by a detector on the other side of the filters, is a measure of the cut-off wavelength of the interference filter. The device may have a second measuring system for measuring the absorption of the interference filter.
