摘要: A multi-series battery control system comprises a plurality of unit battery cell of which unit consists of multiple battery cells connected in series; a plurality of control IC comprising a control circuit for controlling the unit battery cell; a main controller that sends and receives signal to/from the control ICs via an insulation; means for sending an abnormality signal, which represents the existence or the absence of abnormality of the control ICs or the battery cells, to the main controller from the control ICs, responding to the first signal outputted from the main controller via the insulation; and means for searching contents of the abnormality in the control ICs or the battery cells and sending the abnormality contents signal based on the search, to the main controller from the control ICs, responding to the second signal outputted from the main controller via the insulation.

摘要: In a rotation sensor having a resolver attached to a rotor and a signal processing unit for angle detection for supplying a reference signal having a predetermined periodic waveform to the resolver, allowing the resolver to generate a sin signal having a waveform obtained by amplitude-modulating the reference signal by sin &thgr; and a cos signal having a waveform obtained by amplitude-modulating the reference signal by cos &thgr;, and detecting the angle &thgr; on the basis of the sin signal and cos signal, there are provided a signal processing unit for rotation detection for outputting a rotation pulse signal and a reference position signal on the basis of the angle &thgr; and a signal process abnormality detecting unit for detecting the presence or absence of an abnormality in the signal processing unit for angle detection on the basis of the angle &thgr; and an angle &thgr;′ calculated from both of the rotation pulse signal and the reference position signal of the signal processing unit for rotation detection. When an abnormality occurs in an output of the signal processing circuit for obtaining the angle of the rotor from the output of the resolver as an angle detecting apparatus, the angle cannot be accurately detected. In order to solve the problem, an apparatus and method which can detect an abnormality in an output of the signal processing circuit are provided.

摘要: A control apparatus for an electric vehicle has an inverter for feeding currents to a three-phase AC motor corresponding to applied PWM signals, three current sensors, each of the sensors detecting a current of a respective phase in the three-phase AC motor, a revolution speed detector for detecting the speed of the three-phase AC motor, a motor control unit for controlling the three-phase AC motor which includes a current demand generating unit, a current control unit for performing feedback control based on the current demands and currents detected by the current sensors, and a PWM signal generating unit. To detect anomalies in the current sensors or the motor control circuit, there is also provided an anomaly detection unit for detecting an anomaly in the detected currents by checking whether monitoring index obtained by processing three values of the detected currents exceeds a preset threshold level and for outputting a current anomaly indicating signal, and an anomaly specifying unit for inputting diagnostic currents to the three-phase AC motor by judging the current anomaly indicating signal and identifying an anomalous current sensor among the three current sensors based on detection results of the diagnostic currents detected by the three current sensors. The control apparatus executes a motor control corresponding to one of a presence and a non-presence of an anomaly in the three current sensors.

摘要: An electric vehicle control system which maintains good driving performance under normal conditions, and can cut off driving current upon malfunction of a microcomputer before restarting. A setting circuit of a comparing and operating circuit has a set signal fixed to V2 if an accelerator pedal is released. If a microcomputer malfunctions to drive an inverter absent a depression of the accelerator pedal, a current flows from a battery and a battery current sensor generates an output signal n. If this value exceeds V2, a comparator is turned on, which also turns on a transistor to energize a relay and disconnects an inverter drive signal s to break the power supply from an inverter to the ac motor. Upon disconnection, an alarm lamp is lit to issue an alarm to the driver. The disconnection is held by a delay circuit until the power is reset.
