Abstract:
In an electric motor-driven booster, a sharp change of reaction force to an operation of a brake pedal is reduced to improve the brake pedal operation feeling. Operation of the brake pedal causes an input rod (34) and an input piston (32) to advance, and an electric motor (40) is driven according to the movement of the input piston to propel a primary piston (10) through a ball-screw mechanism, thereby generating a desired brake hydraulic pressure in a master cylinder. At this time, the input piston receives the hydraulic pressure in the master cylinder to feed back a part of reaction force during braking to the brake pedal. When the brake pedal is further depressed after the output of the electric motor has reached a maximum output and the primary piston 10 has stopped, a lock nut abuts against a movable spring retainer and compresses a reaction force spring.
Abstract:
The engine starter includes: a starter motor; a pinion unit (30) for sliding in an axial direction on an output shaft of the starter motor; and a ring gear (100) which meshes with a pinion pushed out by a push-out mechanism (60) and receives a transmission of a rotational force of the starter motor to thereby start an engine, and the pinion portion (30) includes a pinion gear divided in the axial direction into two pinion gears which are a first pinion gear (35) having a protruded shape for synchronization, for first colliding with the ring gear upon start of meshing with the ring gear, and a second pinion gear (34) for serving to transmit the rotational force after the meshing.
Abstract:
An engine starting device includes: a starter motor; a pinion unit coupled to an output-shaft side of the starter motor by a spline, for sliding in an axial direction; and a ring gear which meshes with a pinion gear of the pinion unit pushed out by a push-out mechanism, and receives a transmission of a rotation force of the starter motor, thereby starting an engine. The pinion unit includes, on all teeth on distal end portions in a meshing axial direction of the pinion gear meshing with the ring gear, synchronization surfaces which are a pair of surfaces parallel with the meshing axial direction, and have a thickness thinner than a tooth thickness of the pinion gear.

Abstract:
A plunger type high-pressure fuel pump includes a plunger reciprocated in a cylinder. A fluid pressurizing chamber of the pump has a chamber with a capacity that changes with reciprocation of the plunger. An electromagnetic valve is provided between the pressurizing chamber and a fluid suction passage; as well as a discharge valve. The electromagnetic valve includes a valve member including a suction valve; a solenoid coil adapted to displace the valve member; an anchor made of a magnetic material provided integrally with the valve member; and a core forming a magnetic circuit to attract the anchor by the electromagnetic force and dividing the inside of the electromagnetic valve into a hermetically closed space and an external space communicating with the fluid suction passage. The anchor or the core is provided with a fluid passage through which fluid can flow between the hermetically closed space and the external space formed by the anchor and the core, respectively when the suction valve is in an opened state.
Abstract:
A high-pressure fuel pump comprises a pressurizing chamber for pressurizing fuel, an outlet valve for discharging the fuel pressurized in the pressurizing chamber to an outlet passage, a relief passage for connecting the outlet passage located downstream of the outlet valve and the pressurizing chamber with each other while bypassing the outlet valve. A relief valve device is provided in the relief passage and adapted to open when an internal pressure of the outlet passage becomes higher than that of the pressurizing chamber, thereby providing communication between the outlet passage and the pressurizing chamber. The relief valve includes a relief spring mechanism for pressing a relief valve to a relief valve seat. At least the relief spring mechanism among members of the relief valve device is provided outside the pressurizing chamber in the pump body.
Abstract:
A to-be-sent signal (20) is comprised of a header (21) and convolution encoded data (22). An error correcting code (23) has a capability to correct a bit error or burst error contained in an objective data (24) placed apart from the header (21) in said convolution encoded data (22). Because an error arises easily in data placed apart from a header compared with that positioned near said header generally, said error correcting code (23) is added to data placed apart from said header and the addition of said error correcting code is omitted in data placed near to said header, thereby reducing whole information contents and transmission power.
Abstract:
A wireless communication apparatus in a wireless communication system transmits power-control information on a power-control channel, separate from the traffic channels of the wireless communication system. In a code division multiple access system, the power-control channel has a separate spreading code. The power-control channel provides a steady flow of power-control information, even when traffic channels are used only intermittently.
