摘要： A two-color copying machine records an image on a recording sheet in two colors such as red and black by using thermally transferable red and black inks on ink donor sheets. The two-color copying machine includes a platen for supporting an original to be copied, a scanner unit movable reciprocally with respect to the platen for reading the original and for generating an image signal for each line which is separated into two single color image signals, each corresponding to one of the two colors, a pair of thermal heads each for selectively generating thermal pulses in response to the image signal from the scanner unit, an ink donor sheet supply assembly for supplying the thermal heads with respective ink donor sheets coated with thermally transferable inks of different colors, respectively, which can be fluidized or sublimated upon being heated, a recording sheet supply assembly for supplying a recording sheet in the vicinity of the thermal heads, a recording sheet contacting assembly for bringing the supplied recording sheet into intimate contact with a heating region of each of the thermal heads with the ink donor sheet interposed between a thermal head and an ink donor sheet, a recording sheet peeling assembly for peeling the recording sheet off the ink donor sheets after the image has been recorded on the recording sheet, and a discharge assembly for discharging the peeled recording sheet.

摘要： An information reader has a number of linear image sensors dividing one line of picture information into as many parts for reading an original. As these sensors may be relatively shifted in the subscanning direction, signal delay devices are provided corresponding to the sensors for delaying a read out signal by an amount corresponding to the respective shift of the image sensors. The invention removes severe constraints on the placement and alignment of the sensors, facilitating installation and maintenance.

摘要： A method and apparatus for correcting the photoelectric converter of a document reading unit for non-linearities produced by the optics of the system. A test document having no image data thereon is scanned to produce a shade correction signal which is subjected to A/D conversion and stored in a memory. In binary-encoding the picture data of the original, a switch is operated according to the data stored in the memory so as to change a threshold level for the picture signal, whereby digital picture data whose shading has been corrected is obtained. In the case where the picture data of the original are represented by an analog signal, the picture data are also subjected to A/D conversion, and division is carried out with the data stored in the memory being employed as dividends. From the results of such a division, corrected multi-level picture data is obtained.

摘要： A method and apparatus for controlling the phase of a system clock, in which one of a first clock signal and a second clock signal is selected and output to a system as a system clock signal, the first clock signal being generated by a frequency synthesizer synchronized with an external clock signal supplied from a reference clock signal oscillator provided externally of the system, and the second clock signal being supplied from another reference clock signal oscillator provided internally of the system, and the phases of the first and second clock signals are controlled, prior to switching between the first and second clock signals and supplying the switched clock signal to the system as the system clock signal. The switching is delayed for a period while there is a phase shift between the first and second clock signal , when the system clock signal is switched between the first and second clock signal.

摘要： There are provided a plurality of light sources emitting different color lights, and switch means for selectively lighting either one or all of the light sources. The lights reflected by a multicolor manuscript are converted into electric outputs by an image sensor. The output of the image sensor of the portion of the manuscript having the same color as the lighted light source is caused to exceed a predetermined binarizing level, whereby that portion of the manuscript is prevented from being read.
