A head end application server is coupled to a photo-sharing server having an Internet interface. A video content network is coupled to the head end application server, and a terminal is coupled to the video content network at a location remote from the head end application server and the photo-sharing server. The photo-sharing server is configured to accept upload of digital still images via the Internet interface, and the digital still images are in a format other than MPEG I-frames. The head end application server is configured to receive a request from the terminal and, responsive to the request, to fetch the digital still images from the photo-sharing server, transcode the digital still images into MPEG I-frames, and make the MPEG I-frames available, over the video content network, for selective display via the terminal. The system can advantageously function without use of a video-on-demand server.

When a search is initiated, the search is based on an amalgamation of search criteria entered into each of the multiple tabbed display components. In one embodiment, the digital content comprises internet content received from an Internet host server in a first container format, and converted to a second container format at a headend entity of a cable television or satellite network. The headend entity transmits the re-containerized content to one or more consumer devices, and acts as a gateway device between the consumer devices and various internet content sources. Delivery of internet content from the gateway device can be via broadcast, nPVR, DVR and/or VOD delivery mechanisms. The internet content gateway device is adapted to request, receive and process the internet content. Requests for internet content may be made from either a CPE or the gateway device itself according to one or more rules. The content may also be selectively transcoded before re-encapsulation based on the consumer device capabilities.

A first add-in is called to calculate a first partial tax owed and the first partial tax is received back. A second add-in is called to calculate a second partial tax owed and the second partial tax is received back. A total tax is calculated by adding the first partial tax with the second partial tax. A configuration user interface is also provided by the add-in.

Interrupts are routed within a multiple-processor system, such as a single computing device having multiple processors. Such a computerized system includes a number of processors and a mechanism. Each processor is capable of processing an interrupt. The mechanism, such as a Southbridge controller, receives the interrupt and routes it to a selected processor. The selected processor processes the interrupt via entry into a mode related to the interrupt. The interrupt may be a system management interrupt (SMI), and the mode a system management mode (SMM). The other processors operate normally and are not affected by processing of the interrupt, and do not have to enter the mode. These other processors can continue executing code as before, and may receive and process other types of interrupts. The system may include another mechanism, such as a complex programmable logic device (CPLD), specifying the selected processor.

A system and method for replicating firmware in each node of a multi-node computer system is provided. When a joining node becomes a member of the system, the firmware of the joining node is replicated and stored in local memory of the joining node. The portion of local memory where the firmware resides is designated as private memory to the joining node. When a calling processor on a node in the system requires access to firmware, the controller on the node will decide its memory request destination. Since the firmware is located in the private memory of each node, the requesting node will be assigned a memory address in its private memory.

A scheduled recording service (SRS) is configured to receive information about a multimedia content stream provided by a device in a computer network and schedule a recording of the multimedia content stream at a specified time. At the specified time, the scheduled recording service receives the multimedia content stream from the device and saves the multimedia content stream in local system storage. A scheduling application (SA) is configured to provide a user interface for interacting with the scheduled recording service.
