    摘要: A system for testing the electrical components of vehicles during manufacturing includes a hand held tester to which a translator unit can be detachably engaged and with which the tester is in RF communication. The translator unit can be detached from the tester and plugged into a test receptacle under a vehicle's dashboard to communicate with the vehicle by translating computer formatted data from the tester to vehicle bus-formatted data, and vice-versa. Then, the vehicle's VIN is scanned into the tester or manually input into the tester, and the tester transmits the VIN via an RF link in the assembly plant to a computer in the plant. Based on the VIN, the computer determines the electric equipment that the vehicle has, and the computer transmits this information back to the tester. The tester then determines which tests to execute, and the tester causes the translator unit to undertake these tests. The translator transmits the test results back to the tester which in turn transmits the results to the computer. A portable current module can be provided that monitors the current drawn from the vehicle's battery during the testing and for communicating this data to the tester via RF link.

    摘要: A motion-transmitting remote-control assembly (10) of the type for transmitting motion along a curved path by a flexible motion-transmitting core element (12) with a conduit (14) slidably supporting the core element (12). A terminal (30) has a bore (32) extending therethrough and defines oppositely facing first (32a) and second (32b) openings with the second opening (32b) disposed for connecting the core element (12) to a control member (24). An adjustment interconnects the terminal (30) and the core element (12) for adjusting the position of the terminal (30) axially along the core element (12) and includes a lock button (36) movable between an unlocked position extending from the assembly and a locked position within the assembly for locking the axial position of the terminal (30) relative to the core element (12). The assembly is characterized by a collar (58) locked in a shipping position by the extended lock button (36) for preventing the insertion of a control member (28) into the first opening (32a) and movable to an installed position for maintaining the lock button (36) in the locked position. Therefore, the collar (58) prevents an installer from inadvertently inserting a control member (28) into the first opening (32a) during installation and thereafter insures that the lock button (36) is fully in the locked position when moved to the installed position. The collar (58) is slidably movable along the terminal (30) for blocking entry into the first opening (32a) in the shipping position and for covering the lock button (36) in the fully installed position.

The system includes a signal generator for generating a signal corresponding to the actual height to indicate a change in height of the roof assembly. The system may also include an apparatus for detecting the presence of either ice or snow in an area of an outer surface of the roof assembly. The detecting apparatus includes a collecting device that is oriented to collect snow and ice that is accumulating and a sensor unit directed toward the collecting device to detect an accumulation of ice or snow that reaches a specified depth.

    摘要: In various example embodiments, a system and method for determining a trailer brake gain signal for trailer brakes on a trailer being towed by a vehicle, and applying brakes to the trailer is disclosed. A method includes: providing predetermined calibration settings relating motor drive force to motor speed for a vehicle travelling at various speeds and providing accelerometer data. The method then determines that one or more vehicle performance parameters fall within threshold ranges and then determines both the vehicle weight and the trailer weight. The brake gain signal is determined based on the ratio of the current trailer weight and the original trailer weight. The brake gain signal is then transmitted to a trailer brake controller that applies trailer brakes according to the brake gain signal.

    摘要: A ball delivery device, system, and method housing a plurality of balls for a game session is presented. The ball delivery device includes a mixing chamber, at least one instruction to start the game session, an identifier, at least one arm, a ball holder, a reader and a tube. The mixing chamber receives the balls for the game session. After receiving an instruction to begin the game session, balls are singly drawn from the mixing chamber. The identifier disposed on each ball uniquely identifies each ball. The arm mixes the balls in the mixing chamber. The ball holder disposed on the arm holds a single ball that is randomly selected from the mixing chamber. The reader reads the identifier of the ball selected by the ball holder. The tube receives each selected ball and holds the selected balls after the identifier reads the ball and until completion of the game session.
