摘要: An automatic transmission for a vehicle includes: an automatic transmission mechanism including friction engaging elements which change a power transmission path between an input shaft and an output shaft, an engaging oil pressure control unit which controls an engaging oil pressure that engages a first friction engaging element, and a releasing oil pressure control unit which controls a releasing oil pressure that releases a second friction engaging element, so as to achieve upshifting to a predetermined gear shift stage; and a control device including an engaging oil pressure computing unit which calculates and outputs the engaging oil pressure, a releasing oil pressure computing unit which calculates and outputs the releasing oil pressure, a pulled state determination unit which determines whether or not the vehicle is in a pulled state, and a travel load increase calculation unit which calculates an increase in travel load of the vehicle.

摘要: A speed ratio control device for an automatic transmission of a vehicle calculate a minimum engine rotation speed based on a travel load, and sets a target speed ratio such that the engine rotation speed does not fall below the minimum engine rotation speed. If the travel load of the vehicle is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, a higher value is used for the minimum engine rotation speed compared to a case when the travel load of the vehicle is smaller than the predetermined value. Re-acceleration performance of the vehicle under a high travel load as in a case when the vehicle travels uphill while towing another vehicle is thereby improved.

A vehicle towing harness is coupled to the vehicle for connection to a trailer. An overdrive module is connected to the vehicle transmission control module and vehicle towing harness. The overdrive module includes a circuit board with a circuit providing a signal to the vehicle transmission control module that a trailer is attached to the vehicle automatically preventing an overdrive gear from being utilized in the transmission.

摘要: Methods, including service methods, program products and systems are provided for sensing vehicle loads and responsively and automatically configuring a vehicle. Vehicle-mounted load sensors sense vehicle loads, a vehicle processing means calculating a load imparted to the vehicle and comparing imparted loads to load capacity ratings or thresholds and responsively adjusting a vehicle cooling, transmission, braking, suspension or engine system into a revised operating mode. Modifying a component may entail revising a load capacity rating or threshold and repeating sensing, calculating, comparing and adjusting until the revised rating or threshold is met, or progressively adjusting in proportion to a change in a historic sensed load. Adjusting of the vehicle system may be biased to a performance characteristic or a load distribution. A supervisory entity may override automatic adjustment.

摘要: A transmission includes an input shaft coupled to a prime mover, a countershaft, main shaft, and an output shaft, with gears between the countershaft and the main shaft. A shift actuator selectively couples the input shaft to the main shaft by rotatably coupling gears between the countershaft and the main shaft. The shift actuator is mounted on an exterior wall of a housing including the countershaft and the main shaft. An integrated actuator housing includes a single external power access for the shift actuator. A controller interprets a shaft displacement angle, determines if the transmission is in an imminent zero or zero torque region, and performs a transmission operation in response to the transmission in the imminent zero or zero torque region.

摘要: A system and method for changing the shift pattern of a vehicle based on the weight of a trailer the vehicle is towing. The system can include a switch on the steering column or dashboard that can be engaged in predetermined increments, such as 1,000 pounds, to selectively change the shift pattern between a lighter weight trailer and a heavier weight trailer. Further, a load sensor can be provided on the hitch post for sensing the weight of the trailer, and a controller can automatically set the shift pattern based on the weight. Alternately, the system can provide a linear interpolation of the shift table to set the shift pattern based on weight.

A vehicle speed sensor (305) detects a speed of a vehicle, and a gear position sensor detects a current gear position of the transmission (302). The controller (306) stores at least two start gears higher a lowest gear of the transmission beforehand, and selects one start gear when starting a vehicle. The controller (306) selects the start gear based on whether the vehicle tows another vehicle or not.
