Abstract:
A false eyelash that is easily wearable and prevented from slippage and separation while in use includes an extremely thin base, bonding layer formed linearly on a surface of the base, a plurality of hair segments individually and separately adhered to the bonding layer, and an adhesive layer formed on an entire underside of the base. The base is formed into substantially a two-dimensional configuration or three-dimensional configuration that contours a curved shape of an eyelid to which the base is fitted. Since the base is formed into an extremely thin two-dimensional configuration or a three-dimensional configuration that contours a curved shape of the eyelid, it may be fitted tightly to the eyelid. The hair segments are firmly adhered to the bonding layer such that they remain linearly attached to the base, by which the false eyelash with the well-aligned hair segments can easily be fitted to the eyelid.
Abstract:
A laminate including a resin layer and a metal layer, the resin layer being obtained by modifying at least part of the surface of a resin film including a thermoplastic cyclic olefin resin by ionizing irradiation, and the metal layer being formed on the modified area of the surface of the resin film by plating, a method of producing the same, and an electronic circuit board including a circuit formed by etching the metal layer of the laminate by photolithography, are disclosed. The laminate ensures that the insulating resin layer (flat surface) exhibits high adhesion to the conductor layer.
Abstract:
Provided are a marker for determining sensitivity to an anticancer agent capable of distinguishing a therapeutic response of an individual patient and a novel means for a cancer therapy using the marker. The marker for determining sensitivity to an anticancer agent contains a substance in a metabolic pathway in which L-phenylalanine and/or N,N-dimethyl glycine are/is involved.
Abstract:
A material for forming electroless plate comprising a non-conductive base material and a catalyst adhering layer provided on the non-conductive base material is constituted so that the catalyst adhering layer should comprise a hydrophilic (meth)acrylic resin constituted with a hydrophilic monomer and a hydrophobic monomer and containing the hydrophobic monomer at a ratio of 50 to 90 mol %. This material for forming electroless plate shows favorable catalyst adhering property, and shows no delamination of the catalyst adhering layer from the non-conductive base material, no dissolution of the catalyst adhering layer into a plating solution, and no discoloration of plate layer during the catalyst adhering step, development step and other steps.
Abstract:
A fuel cell system is provided which has a humidifying means (2) for directly humidifying a polymer electrolyte membrane (12) that serves as an ionic conductor. As the humidifying means (2), means is employed which has a water holding unit (21) comprised of a water-absorbing material and located in contact with the polymer electrolyte membrane to directly humidify the polymer electrolyte membrane (12) by utilizing a capillary action and further has a humidification water passage (28) comprised of a hydrophilic material and provided in the polymer electrolyte membrane so as to be connected to the water holding unit (21) to humidify the polymer electrolyte membrane (12) rapidly and uniformly. Such a constitution provides a fuel cell system that can directly humidify an ionic conductor.
Abstract:
A material for electroless plating shows good adhesion for a catalyst and does not cause delamination of a catalyst adhering layer from a non-conductive base material in a catalyst adhering step, development step or other step.In a material for electroless plating, having a catalyst adhering layer on a non-conductive base material, the catalyst adhering layer is formed from a hydrophilic and/or water-soluble resin containing hydroxyl group, and a curable layer formed from a resin having hydroxyl group and an isocyanate type compound is provided between the base material and the catalyst adhering layer. The catalyst adhering layer is preferably formed while isocyanate groups of the isocyanate type compound in the curable layer remain.
Abstract:
A high-frequency switch circuit common to a plurality of frequency bands includes a first high-frequency switch adapted to pass transmission signals and block received signals; and a demultiplexer. The high-frequency switch circuit passes one of the received signals of first and second frequency bands and blocks the other.
Abstract:
When a test mode signal is rendered active by a signal given from an external terminal, a CPU reads and runs various self-testing programs stored in a ROM. When any of the test programs comes to a process of testing a security circuit, a security test signal is rendered active and when a predetermined address is accessed then, a selector is switched to a register side by the output signal of an AND circuit of a test circuit. An illegitimate instruction, for example, is set in the register and is given to the CPU. Whether the security circuit has failure is determined by checking if an illegitimate access detection signal is output when the CPU executes the illegitimate instruction.
Abstract:
In a remote control system, when a user directs a host device of a portable type toward target devices for search and specification, a search signal including a unique identifier (UID) is transmitted from a directional antenna. Each of the target devices stores the UID included in the received search signal in a memory unit, and transmits a response signal including device information on itself from an antenna. The host device identifies one of the target devices based on the device information included in the response signal, runs a control program for the identified target device, and displays an operation screen on a display unit. When the user instructs the remote operation on the operation screen, the host device transmits a remote control signal including the UID from the omni-directional antenna. When the target device receives the remote control signal including the UID that matches with the UID stored in the memory unit, the target device controls a function unit according to the remote control signal.
Abstract:
In a communication apparatus on a network where communication apparatuses perform direct communication with each other, a network management apparatus for managing the network based on message information transmitted and received on the network is determined. When the communication apparatus itself is determined as the network management apparatus, the apparatus collects information indicating device capabilities from other communication apparatuses. On the other hand, the communication apparatus receives information indicating device capabilities from another communication apparatus when the other communication apparatus is determined as the network management apparatus.
