Abstract: An electric motor includes a housing with a tubular wall extending in an axial direction of the housing and a closures positioned at opposite axial ends of the tubular wall, a stator fixedly mounted inside of the housing, a rotor rotatably mounted inside of the housing, and a bearing rotatably supporting the rotor. At least one of the closures includes a rotor supporting portion. The rotor supporting portion includes a through hole configured to receive a portion of the rotor. The through hole has a triangular or polygonal shape, and a radius of an inscribed circle of the triangular or polygonal shape of the through hole is larger than a radius of the portion of the rotor received in the through hole.

T connection portion may be configured by connecting the first connection portion of the first bus bar member and a second connection portion provided in a second bus bar member which is the other one of the plurality of bus bar members, and at least a portion of the connection portion of the bus bar is held in the bus bar holder.

Abstract: A motor assembly includes a motor with a rotor rotatable about a motor shaft and a stator located radially outside the rotor, an inverter to supply power to the motor, a housing provided with a motor housing space that houses the motor and an inverter housing space that houses the inverter, and a first bus bar that electrically connects the motor and the inverter. The housing includes a partition wall portion that partitions the motor housing space and the inverter housing space and is provided with a through hole penetrating in the axial direction. The first bus bar is connected to a coil wire extending from the stator at an end on one side in the axial direction of the stator in the motor housing space, and extends to the inverter housing space through the through hole.

Abstract: A motor unit according to an aspect of the present invention includes: a motor having a rotor that rotates about a motor axis and a stator located radially outside the rotor; an inverter that controls a current to be supplied to the motor; a housing body having a motor housing portion that houses the motor and an inverter housing portion that houses the inverter; and an inverter housing configured to cover an opening of the inverter housing portion while supporting the inverter. The housing body is provided with a first cooling path through which a first refrigerant for cooling the motor flows. The inverter housing is provided with a second cooling path through which a second refrigerant for cooling the inverter flows.

Abstract: A drive device includes a motor, a housing, an oil passage in the housing, an oil pump in which a portion of the oil passage is provided, and a strainer inside the housing and in which a portion of the oil passage is provided. The oil passage includes an oil sump in which oil is accumulated and a suction path connecting the oil sump and the oil pump. A central axis of the oil pump extends in a direction intersecting the vertical direction. The strainer is in the suction path. The strainer includes a suction port to suction oil from the oil sump, a discharge port to discharge oil toward the oil pump, and a filter. The suction port opens downward in the vertical direction. The discharge port opens in a direction intersecting the vertical direction toward the oil pump.

Abstract: According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a driving device is a driving device for rotating an axle of a vehicle and includes: a motor having a rotor rotating about a motor axis extending in a horizontal direction orthogonal to a vertical direction; a reduction gear connected to the rotor; a differential gear connected to the motor via the reduction gear; and a housing configured to house the motor, the reduction gear and the differential gear therein. The housing has a protrusion that protrudes upward in the vertical direction, and at least one circumferential rib that extends in a circumferential direction. The protrusion has a female screw hole into which an eye bolt can be tightened. At least one of the circumferential ribs is connected to the protrusion.
