    摘要: An arteriovenous shunt assembly including a shunt and a pull wire operated flow control mechanism. The shunt has a tubular body that defines a fluid passageway between a first end and a second end thereof The pull wire mechanism includes a portion disposed around the tubular shunt in at least one loop. The at least one loop may be selectively tightened or loosened remotely from the shunt to regulate the rate of blood flow through the tubular shunt.

    摘要: In an embodiment, a device for loading a prosthesis onto a delivery system comprises a cap and a reducing member. The cap has a piston member that seats a prosthesis. The piston member has at least one side wall configured to contact a portion of the side of the prosthesis seated therein. The reducing member has a conical wall, a first open end, and a second open end. The first open end is configured to receive the piston member. The reducing member reduces an external dimension of at least a portion of the prosthesis seated in the piston member as the prosthesis is moved along an inner surface of the conical wall.

    摘要: A releasable connector assembly comprising a socket body 2 and a plug body 3. The socket body 2 has a set of channels 15 formed therein and the plug body 3 having a corresponding set of radial tabs 7 formed thereon, the channels 15 forming a keyway for the tabs 7 such that load bearing projections 5, 14 on the bodies are releasably engageable in the manner of a bayonet coupling. The assembly is characterised in that a set of locking pins are provided on the socket member that are extendable into the channels 15 so as, in use, to trap the tabs 7 in undercuts 15k of the channels 15, thereby preventing unintentional release of the plug 3 from the socket 2, and retractable from the channels 15 so as to enable release of the plug 3 from the socket 2.

    摘要: A method of categorizing fasteners and construction connectors by size and type using a color coding system. Each fastener receives a designated and distinct color contained on the surface that is exposed before and after installation. The colors are preselected to define one or more physical properties of the fasteners. A color key is provided to determine the physical properties of the fasteners based on the coloring of exposed portions of the inserted fasteners. Similarly, construction connectors receive a designated and distinct color contained on the surface that is exposed before and after installation. The color represented on the surface of the construction connector is such that the corresponding fastener is the same color.

    摘要: A pipe connector comprises a tubular pin member 1 having a generally frustoconical outer peripheral surface 3 and a tubular box member 2 having a generally frustoconical inner peripheral surface 4 corresponding to the frustoconical outer peripheral surface 3 of the pin member 1 and which overlies the frustoconical surface 4 of the pin member 1 when the members 1, 2 are fully engaged together. Each nib 14, 15 is an interference fit with its mating groove so as to form a seal therewith, wherein at least one of the inner diametrical surface 14a of the groove 14 in the box member 2 and the outer diametrical surface 15a of the groove 15 in the pin member 1 is inclined relative to the abutting surface 12a; 13a of the nib member 12, 13 engageable therein, such that said abutting groove and nib surfaces 12a, 14a; 13a, 15a diverge from each other towards the bottom of the groove 14; 15.
