Abstract: Techniques are provided to initiate signal transmissions for possible opportunistic reception by a mobile device, and/or to initiate opportunistic reception of signal transmissions for use in mobile device position location estimation. For example, a mobile device may use assistance data to identify a first signal to be transmitted over a first frequency band and a second signal to be transmitted over a second frequency band during a specific period of time. At least a portion of the second frequency band may be outside of the first frequency band. The mobile device subsequently attempts to opportunistically receive at least the first signal and the second signal via a receiver tuned to a reception frequency band that encompasses at least the first frequency band and the second frequency band. The mobile device may then process the opportunistically received signals to obtain measurements corresponding to at least the first and second signals.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to position sensors. An apparatus in accordance with aspects of the disclosure, the apparatus includes a wireless transceiver configured to transmit and receive wireless signals, a SPS receiver configured to receive SPS signals, memory, and a processor. The processor/memory may be configured to generate SPS-based location data using the SPS receiver in response to receipt of a MDT measurement request, determine whether the SPS-based location data is accurate or not accurate, in response to a determination that the SPS-based location data is not accurate, generate network-based location data using the wireless transceiver and include the network-based location data in an MDT report, in response to a determination that the SPS-based location data is accurate, include the SPS-based location data in the MDT report, and transmit the MDT report, wherein the MDT report includes one or both of the SPS-based location data and/or the network-based location data.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for improving performance of a touchscreen device. In an aspect, the touchscreen device receives a selection of an application or function based on a user touching a portion of a touchscreen display of the touchscreen device that includes an icon representing the application or function, collects biometric data of the user based on the user touching the portion of the touchscreen display, and determines whether the user is authorized to access the application or function based on the biometric data. In an aspect, the touchscreen device detects that a portion of the touchscreen display is unresponsive to user touch input, and in response to the detection, moves at least one icon displayed on the unresponsive portion of the touchscreen display to a portion of the touchscreen display that is responsive to user touch input.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure are directed to the use of supplemental information received from Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) capable entities in order to enhance navigation and route selection based on available advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) functionality. A number of potential routes are evaluated by retrieving the V2X capabilities and locations from V2X capable entities along those routes. That information is used to assess traffic density and availability of supplemental information used by ADAS along each route, allowing for an evaluation of each route on travel time and ADAS support. The driver can then select the best route that supports their needs.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may receive Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) information from a V2X entity, such as a vehicle, road side unit, or other UE carried by a pedestrian. The V2X information may be transmitted to a location server by the UE to obtain positioning assistance data. The location server may determine a coarse position of the UE using the V2X information and generate corresponding positioning assistance data including Positioning Reference Signal (PRS) information for neighbor base stations, which is transmitted to the UE. The UE may detect PRS signals from the neighbor base stations and perform position determination using the PRS signals. The V2X entity or a different V2X entity may also transmit PRS signals that are received by the UE and used along with the PRS signal from the neighbor base stations to perform position determination.
