Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus receives a configuration indicating multicast broadcast single frequency network (MBSFN) subframes within a radio frame. The configuration indicates a number of symbols of an MBSFN subframe for receiving a wide area network (WAN) control signal and remaining symbols of the MBSFN subframe dedicated for peer-to-peer communication. The apparatus communicates with a peer via the symbols dedicated for peer-to-peer communication. Alternatively, the apparatus receives a configuration indicating a portion at a beginning and/or end of a guard period of a special time division duplex (TDD) subframe. The portion is reserved for an uplink timing advance and/or switching from transmission to reception and/or reception to transmission. The configuration also indicates a remaining portion of the guard period of the special TDD subframe for peer-to-peer communication. The apparatus communicates with a peer via the remaining portion.
Abstract:
Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate Mobile IP home agent (HA) discovery in a wireless communication system. Discovery of a HA for Mobile IP can be conducted as described herein for a mobile terminal located on a network wherein movement of the terminal is managed by a network-based mobility protocol. For example, various aspects described herein can be utilized for discovery of a HA located in a 3GPP network from 3GPP and/or non-3GPP access. Further, various aspects described herein can be utilized to discover a gateway acting as mobility anchor for a network mobility protocol utilized by the network. As additionally described herein, HA discovery can be conducted in connection with DNS query formation and communication, network attach and/or re-attach procedures, Neighbor Discovery signaling, and/or other procedures.
Abstract:
The claimed subject matter relates to systems and methods for processing messages in a wireless communications environment. In an aspect, a communications method is provided. The method includes initiating a registration with a network domain node and generating sequence information with respect to the registration. The sequence information is then employed to facilitate further communications with the network domain node.

Abstract:
The disclosure relates in some aspects to sharing wireless communication resources. For example, a first type of device allocated to use a first resource pool may dynamically use a second resource pool allocated for a second type of device. The first type of device may use an entry criteria to determine whether to use the second resource pool. In some aspects, the entry criteria may specify that resource sharing is permitted if a ratio of resources used by devices of the second type (relative to the total resources in the second resource pool) is less than a threshold. In addition, the first type of device may use an exit criteria to determine whether to stop using the second resource pool. In some aspects, the exit criteria may specify that resource sharing should stop if a ratio of resources used by devices of the second type is greater than a threshold.

Abstract:
Aspects of the disclosure relate to a vehicle, or a device or system connected to the vehicle, that enables the vehicle to act as a base station in a wireless communication network. The vehicle includes an access interface transceiver configured to communicate with devices within its passenger cabin, and a backhaul interface transceiver configured to communicate with the wireless communication network. By acting as a base station, the vehicle can establish and provide connectivity between the devices in its passenger cabin and the wireless communication network via the access transceiver and backhaul transceiver.
Abstract:
A method for communication includes transmitting a listen before talk (LBT) communication symbol in a communication frame, the LBT communication symbol defining an amount of resource anticipated for control information and data, transmitting a control channel using the amount of resource defined by the communication symbol, and transmitting a data channel using the amount of resource defined by the communication symbol.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE), e.g., a lead platooning vehicle configured for wireless communications, may determine a communication resource requirement for a group of platooning vehicles. The communication resource requirement may be based at least in part on a number of vehicles forming the group of platooning vehicles and a communication range of at least a portion of the vehicles. The UE may identify, based at least in part on the identified communication resource requirement, an assignment of time-frequency radio resources to use for inter-vehicle communications in the group of platooning vehicles. The UE may transmit an indication of the assignment of time-frequency radio resources to the group of platooning vehicles.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are described that facilitate multiple registrations and flow based mobility in a wireless communication network. A flow routing component can be included in a mobile device, home agent/p-gateway, or a policy and charging rules function server that determines the manner in which to route one or more IP flows through a set of network access entry points. The flow routing component can determine the routing based on a set of policies and/or network data, such as quality of service requirements, bandwidth requirements, network congestion, currently active IP flows, and so forth.
