Abstract: Techniques and apparatus for providing hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback for multiple physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmissions are described. One example technique involves receiving downlink control information (DCI) scheduling a plurality of downlink data transmissions across a plurality of slots. The plurality of downlink data transmissions are monitored across the plurality of slots. At least one HARQ feedback scheme for acknowledging the plurality of downlink data transmissions is determined. HARQ feedback for the plurality of downlink data transmissions is provided in accordance with the at least one HARQ feedback scheme.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for adding and releasing secondary cells in a multi-cell connectivity configuration. In one aspect, a user equipment (UE) may transmit UE assistance information to a base station (BS) operating as a master cell in a multi-cell connectivity configuration. The UE assistance information may indicate a process that the BS is to use to add a secondary cell to the multi-cell connectivity configuration, may indicate a time gap for adding a secondary cell after another secondary cell is released from the multi-cell connectivity configuration, as well as other multi-cell connectivity configuration information. The BS may receive the UE assistance information and may add a secondary cell to the multi-cell connectivity configuration based at least in part on the indicated process and time gap.

Abstract: A first apparatus may be implemented as a user equipment (UE) or a component thereof. The first apparatus may be configured to receive a pre-grant message from a base station on a wireless channel. The first apparatus may be further configured to determine an interference level associated with the wireless channel. The first apparatus may then indicate the interference level to the base station in response to the pre-grant message. A second apparatus may be implemented as a base station or a component thereof. The second apparatus may be configured to transmit a pre-grant message to a UE on a wireless channel. The second apparatus may be further configured to detect for an acknowledgement (ACK) message responsive to the pre-grant message from the UE. The second apparatus may then determine an interference level associated with the wireless channel proximate to the UE based on detecting for the ACK message.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) and a base station may support beamforming communication techniques and may communicate using one or more beams. The UE may support a bandwidth part (BWP) hopping pattern and may perform a beam failure detection (BFD) procedure across the supported BWPs. While performing the BFD procedure, the UE may declare beam failure and may determine whether to switch to an anchor BWP to initiate a beam failure recover (BFR) procedure or to remain on an active BWP to initiate the BFR procedure. In some implementations, the UE may determine whether to switch to the anchor BWP or to remain on the active BWP to initiate the BFR procedure based on an indication from the base station.

Abstract: Aspects relate to random access procedures. A base station may transmit a random access response message to a user equipment (UE) on a downlink control channel at a first monitoring occasion and transmit at least one repetition of the random access message at at least one offset from the first monitoring occasion. The base station may also transmit an indication of the offset(s) to the UE. Upon receiving the indication of the offset(s), the UE may monitor for the random access response message on the downlink control channel at the first monitoring occasion and at the monitoring occasion(s) for the repetition(s). A UE may identify a first radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) used to affect a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) sent within a random access response (RAR) window and determine based on the first RNTI that the PDCCH is one of a plurality of PDCCH repetitions.

A wireless device may monitor for a transmission of a synchronization signal block that includes a first portion generated using a first waveform type and a second portion using a second waveform type that is different than the first waveform type. The wireless device may detect the first portion of the synchronization signal block based on the first waveform type used for the first portion. After detecting the first portion of the synchronization signal block, the wireless device may process the second portion of the synchronization signal block based on information obtained from the first portion of the synchronization signal block. The information obtained from the first portion of the synchronization signal block may include timing information, frequency information, or both.
