Disclosed is the reaction of propylene with acrylonitrile or acrylamide to make a cyano- or amidopentene and reacting that compound with NH.sub.3 and O.sub.2 to form mucononitrile or 5-cyano-2,4-pentadiene amide. Also disclosed is a process which comprises contacting a reactant of the formula H--(CH.sub.2).sub.a --(CH.dbd.CH)--(CH.sub.2).sub.b X with oxygen and ammonia to thereby form a product of the formula NC--CH.dbd.CH--CH.dbd.CH--X wherein X is --CN or --CONH.sub.2 and each of a and b are zero or an integer from 1 to 3 such that a+b=3.
摘要:
Amorphous metal alloy compositions are synthesized by solid state incorporation/reduction reactions wherein a high-surface area support is brought in contact with a precursor metal-bearing compound in such a manner that the compound is incorporated into the support or caused to deposit metal onto the surface of the support. The composition obtained is an amorphous alloy composition or can be made so by heat treating at a temperature below the crystallization temperature of the amorphous metal alloy desired to be formed.

Monoolefins such as propylene and isobutylene are converted to the corresponding unsaturated nitriles, acrylonitrile and methacrylonitrile, respectively, by reacting a mixture of the olefin, ammonia, and a molecular oxygen-containing gas in the presence of a catalyst containing the oxides of iron, bismuth, molybdenum, and cobalt or nickel or both, and optionally an oxide of at least one element selected from the group consisting of the alkali metals, rare earth metals, tantalum and niobium, and optionally one or more of the oxides of the elements selected from the group consisting of phosphorus and arsenic.

Oxide complex catalysts of iron, selenium and tellurium provide good yields of acrylonitrile in the ammoxidation of propylene with high selectivities at low temperature.
摘要:
Catalysts containing iron, molybdenum, bismuth and nickel, cobalt, magnesium, zinc, cadmium, calcium or beryllium have been found to give especially large volumes of acrylonitrile or methacrylonitrile in a given time when manganese, antimony, thorium, zirconium, yttrium or mixtures thereof are incorporated into the catalyst.
摘要:
Oxide complex catalysts comprising Fe-Sb-Bi-O.sub.x promoted with a wide variety of different elements have been found to be especially useful in the ammoxidation of olefins to nitriles such as acrylonitrile and methacrylonitrile. Not only are the desired nitriles obtained with high yields when these catalysts are used, but also the production of unwanted liquid byproducts such as acrolein, acrylic acid and acetonitrile is significantly reduced.
摘要:
The process comprises the vapor phase oxidation of lower molecular weight olefins to the corresponding unsaturated aldehydes and unsaturated carboxylic acids in the presence of a catalyst comprising the oxides of iron, bismuth, molybdenum and at least one element of the Group II elements as essential components, and optionally the oxides of phosphorus, arsenic and an alkali metal.
摘要:
Maleic anhydride is produced by the reaction of n-butane with a molecular oxygen-containing gas at an elevated temperature in the presence of a catalyst composed of the combined oxides of the elements antimony, molybdenum and at least one member selected from the group consisting of iron and vanadium and optionally one or more oxides of aluminum, boron, tellurium, chromium, cobalt, nickel, copper, bismuth, phosphorus titanium and tungsten.
